• Pick any class you want. If unsure, I recommend the Vagabond or Samurai, as they have good starting stats for most builds.
• The Lands Between Rune (unique) and Fanged Imp Ashes (used for a puzzle) are the most valuable keepsakes. For beginners, the Golden Seed can help in the first two sections. Avoid the Stonesword Keys; the walkthrough is routed so you won't need to get any at all.
• Begin your playthrough and watch the intro cutscene.
• Optional: If playing online, you can add up to five group passwords (case sensitive). Summon signs, messages, and bloodstains from your groups are highlighted, and player phantoms appear golden instead of white. Each time someone in your group defeats a Shardbearer or becomes Elden Lord, you gain a 5% stacking rune buff. The website's group password is ERSHEET.
• The Ring gesture is automatically obtained if you preordered the game.
• Similarly, the Ring of Miquella gesture is obtained if you preordered the DLC.
• Pick up Tarnished's Wizened Finger from the deceased maiden.
• Exit the chapel and die to the Grafted Scion.
• After respawning in a cave, drop down the hole and grab the Cave of Knowledge grace.
• There are no items in the cave, so once you're through, kill Soldier of Godrick for 400 runes.
• Pick up the Strength! gesture before you drop down.
• Activate the Stranded Graveyard grace just past the door.
• Pick up Finger Severer and Tarnished's Furled Finger from the corpse in the corner.
• Take the lift up and enter Limgrave!

First steps in Limgrave0/0

• Step outside and activate The First Step grace.
• Optional: Exhaust Varre's dialogue in front of the grace.
• Pick up the Small Golden Effigy on the martyr effigy just east below the grace.
• Run for the church past the Tree Sentinel and pick up the Golden Rune [2] in front of the entrance.
• Activate the Church of Elleh grace and pick up the Smithing Stone [1] on the anvil.
• Talk to Kale and purchase the Crafting Kit for 300 runes to unlock Item Crafting. Optionally, talk to him about himself.
• Head toward the ruin east of the church to pick up a Golden Rune [1] near three gibbets.
• Explore the woods on the opposite side of the ruin to find Kukri x4 in front of a broken-down wagon.
• Follow the dirt path through the woods to a ruins site, then head toward the large gate on the left to discover the Gatefront grace.
• Rest at the Gatefront grace to meet Melina. Accept her request to receive the Spectral Steed Whistle (your mount) and the ability to level up.
• Fast travel to the Church of Elleh to meet Ranni, presenting herself as Renna. Tell her you can call the spectral steed to receive Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes.
  • Note: If missed, they can be bought from the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold.
• Optional: Exhaust Melina's dialogue while resting at the Church of Elleh grace.
• Optional: Return to Gatefront and talk to Melina at the grace to learn about her purpose.
• Head through the gate and grab the Lump of Flesh on the road and the Golden Rune [1] behind some spiked barricades on the right.
• Continue up the road until you see a Golden Seed on the right.
• On the grassy hillside east-northeast of the tree, you'll find some chairs with Smithing Stone [1] x3.
• Continue toward the gibbets near the cliff east-southeast from the chairs. Behind the second last gibbet, you'll find Smoldering Butterfly x5.
• North of the gibbets lies a cemetery with 4x Golden Rune [1], 2x Golden Rune [2], Golden Rune [3], and a Golden Rune [5].
• From the cemetery, head west to find a shack by the road. Grab the Stormhill Shack grace, then pick up the Stonesword Key on the elevated platform.
• MISSABLE: Talk to Roderika in the shack to learn the Sitting Sideways gesture, then exhaust her dialogue for the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes.
• Head up the slope to the left of a half-buried ruin near the shack to find Strength-knot Crystal Tear guarded by a Troll.
• Return to the grace and follow the dirt path to the right of the ruin to a corpse with Fire Arrow x5.
• Continue into the woods and activate the Warmaster's Shack grace on the right.
• Talk to Bernahl in the shack to unlock his inventory; it doesn't matter what you answer. Optionally, select "Talk".
• Behind the shack is a hillside with five Trolls. Pick up Beast Liver in front of the Troll near a ruin.
• Bait the troll into attacking the statue in the middle to obtain Smithing Stone [1] x5, and a Smithing Stone [2].
• Continue east from the statue and jump down the spiritspring below the cliff. Turn north at the bottom to find a Smithing Stone [1] on a ledge.
• Return to Warmaster's Shack and ride northeast through the woods to a camp with Exalted Flesh and a chest containing the Beast Crest Heater Shield.
• MISSABLE: Exit the camp and head up the ledge on the right side to find Alexander. Select "Help him out" first, then free him for the Triumphant Delight gesture. Talk to him afterward to receive an Exalted Flesh.
• Return to the path below the ledge and continue downhill to discover the Saintsbridge grace.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] x2 in front of a broken statue on the bridge.
• On the right side past the bridge, you'll find the Nomadic Merchant (North Limgrave).
• Head south from the merchant to find a Golden Rune [1] beneath some gibbets near the cliff.
• Optional: Return to the merchant and continue along the path to encounter D, Hunter of the Dead on the left side.
• Continue down the path to discover the Summonwater Village Outskirts grace on the right side.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal near some turtles in the right side of the village. Loot the chest in the cellar to obtain the Green Turtle Talisman.
• Head toward the cliff south of the seal. Drop down near the scarab to reach a cemetery with 5x Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], and a Golden Rune [5].
• Follow the northeast wall to a spiritspring and use it while facing northeast to find a tunnel entrance. Go inside and grab the Rear Gael Tunnel Entrance grace.
• Optional: Talk to Alexander in the tunnel, then pick up the Smithing Stone [4] on the wall behind him.
• Exit the tunnel and follow the downhill path to a broken-down wagon. Pick up the Neutralizing Boluses next to it.
• Continue downhill and kill the scarab near a spiritspring to obtain Ash of War: Sacred Blade.
• Enter the church at the bottom and activate the Third Church of Marika grace.
• Pick up the Crimson Crystal Tear and Flask of Wondrous Physick from the stone basin, then the Sacred Tear in front of the statue.
• Optional: Talk to Melina at the grace and add some Crystal Tears to your Physick flask.
• Follow the river outside the church to a Smithing Stone [2] in the middle of a fight between wolves and a Runebear.
• Use the sending gate hidden in a bush at the opposite end of the river. After you arrive, open the door and grab the Bestial Sanctum grace, but don't rest at it.
• Talk to Gurranq. He doesn't have any dialogue yet, but interacting with him unlocks D, Hunter of the Dead's inventory early.
• 🏆 Rest at the Bestial Sanctum grace and accept Melina's invitation to Roundtable Hold.
• Now that you've arrived at the main hub, you can talk to the NPCs that are here:
  • Optional: Meet Gideon Ofnir and exhaust his dialogue.
  • MISSABLE: Talk to Corhyn and answer "I see it" to learn the Prayer gesture.
  • Talk to D, Hunter of the Dead. Optionally, talk to him about himself if you interacted with Gurranq earlier.
  • Optional: Talk to Diallos.
  • Optional: Talk to Hewg. Ask him about the chains on his legs, then ask if he's a prisoner.
  • Talk to Fia and let her hold you twice. During the second embrace, choose to talk in secret.
    • Note: Each time you let her hold you, you'll receive a Baldachin's Blessing. While carrying this item, your maximum HP is reduced by 5%, so make sure to use it after every interaction with her to remove its debuff.
  • MISSABLE: Reload the area, then interact with Ensha outside Gideon's study to learn the What Do You Want? gesture.
  • Optional: Exhaust Gideon Ofnir's dialogue in his study.
  • Optional: Find the Twin Maiden Husks and buy any items you need from them.
• Return to Bestial Sanctum and pass time until morning at the grace. Follow the downhill path past the Black Blade Kindred and pick up the Golden Seed along the path.
• Head east from the golden tree to find a stone astrolabe with Starlight Shards on your right side, near the cliff edge.
• Drop down the cliff south of the astrolabe, then head down the slope near the cliff. Across the bridge at the bottom, you'll find the Lenne's Rise grace.
• Use the spiritspring next to the tower while facing west to reach a cemetery with Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [3], Golden Rune [6], and a Golden Rune [8].
• Use the spiritspring while facing east to enter the tower from its balcony. Loot the chest at the top level to obtain a Memory Stone.
• Optional: You can do the Lenne's Rise rune farm if you need some quick runes for an item or upgrade.
• Travel to the Third Church of Marika and follow the path past the Troll to a large arching ruin. Under it sits a wagon with Magic Grease.
• Talk to Kenneth Haight on top of the arching ruin.
• On the cliff accessible from the top of the ruin lies a cemetery with 3x Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], 2x Golden Rune [4], Golden Rune [6], and Fevor's Cookbook [1].
• Return to the church and head along the beach until you reach a Giant Crab feasting on a corpse with Strip of White Flesh x3.
• Climb the rocky ledges at the end of the beach and enter the round building southwest into the woods. Take the lift down and activate the Siofra River Well Depths grace.
• Return to the church again (it's faster) and follow the south path into the woods to a stele with Map: Limgrave, East on the left side.
• Pick up the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [4] below the Runebear (it only attacks if you get too close).
• Next to a wagon farther along the path is a corpse with Thin Beast Bones x3.
• Continue west from the wagon to find a Golden Rune [1] at the base of a gibbet guarded by bats.
• Up the slope southeast of the gibbet is a scarab that drops Ash of War: Ground Slam.
• Pick up Spiked Cracked Tear and Greenspill Crystal Tear from the basin in front of the Minor Erdtree.
• Go back down the slope and follow the howling to Mistwood Ruins:
  • Pick up the Golden Rune [2] in a corner of the ruins.
  • In the tower in the middle sits a chest with a Smithing Stone [2].
  • Go down the cellar by the sleeping Runebear for a chest containing the Axe Talisman.
• Return to the path and follow it to a glowing message, then head northeast into the woods to find the Nomadic Merchant (East Limgrave).
• Return to the path again and follow it until you see the Fort Haight West grace.
• Head up the slope to the fort and pick up the Golden Seed near the entrance.
• On the small beach southwest of the fort, you'll find a Golden Rune [1].
• Continue southwest to a cemetery with 4x Golden Rune [1], 2x Golden Rune [2], Golden Rune [3], and a Golden Rune [4].
• From the cemetery, head north-northwest until you come to a graveyard. In front of the largest gravestone is a Sacrificial Twig.
• On a ledge northwest of the gravestone, you'll find a random Demi-Human drop (this item may be bugged).
• Travel to Gatefront and explore the ruins:
  • Pick up Lordsworn's Greatsword from the chest in the nearby carriage.
  • In the ruins opposite the carriage sits a corpse with Ruin Fragment x3.
  • Loot Map: Limgrave, West from the stele in the middle.
  • In the lower south part of the ruins lies a cellar with Ash of War: Storm Stomp and Whetstone Knife.
  • Pick up Flail from the chest in the second carriage.
• Follow the road through the ruins downhill to discover the Agheel Lake North grace on the left side.
• Pass time until morning, then continue along the road to find an Arteria Leaf to the left of a telescope.
• Roll into the yellow shrub to reveal Boc. Exhaust his dialogue to receive Mushroom x10.
• Continue along the road to find a scarab that drops Ash of War: Determination.
• On the right side of the bridge lies a Smithing Stone [1].
• Cross the bridge, then follow the cliff edge on the right to a chair with a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
• On a ledge overlooking the tip of the lake, past some Giant Crabs, you'll find the Agheel Lake South grace.
• A small campsite with Sliver of Meat lies just west of the grace.
• From the campsite, head southwest past the clashing enemies and down a rocky slope to find Crab Eggs on the cliff edge.
• Go back up the slope, then head right until the area splits in two paths. Follow the downward slope first to a corpse with Ruin Fragment x3.
• Head back and follow the upper path to a ledge with the Large Club, surrounded by Demi-Humans.
• Use the spiritspring near the cliff while facing southeast to land on a broken pillar. Up the ledge, you'll reach the Bridge of Sacrifice grace.
• Loot the Stonesword Key and Smithing Stone [1] x3 on the bridge.
• Head back across to find Irina next to the road. Exhaust her dialogue, then agree to deliver her letter to receive Irina's Letter.
• Continue down the road and pick up the Strip of White Flesh guarded by three dogs and a Troll.
• Loot the Morning Star in the carriage, then the Golden Rune [2] and Smithing Stone [2] from the nearby corpses.
• Kill the scarab on the road to obtain Ash of War: Mighty Shot.
• When the road opens into a field, you'll discover the Castle Morne Rampart grace on the left side.
• The Nomadic Merchant (Weeping Peninsula) sits just near the grace.
• Pass time until morning at the grace, then follow the road through the hole in the rampart to a stele with Map: Weeping Peninsula.
• Pick up Golden Seed from a ledge on the right side, just past the map stele.
• Kill the Archer Golem (doesn't respawn). Then head toward the southeast beach to find Somber Smithing Stone [2] and Arteria Leaf near some hostile jellyfish.
• Northeast of the beach is a poison swamp. Climb the tallest boulder in the swamp for a Golden Rune [4].
• In the woods past the swamp, you'll see a teleporting scarab. Kill it with a Kukri to obtain Poison Mist.
• At the top of the slope past the woods is a Smithing Stone [1] guarded by a Scaly Misbegotten.
• Return to Castle Morne Rampart and follow the slope west of the grace to a cottage with Yellow Ember in front.
• Continue northwest from the cottage and descend the gravestones in the cliff. Kill the scarab at the bottom to obtain Lightning Strike.
• Return to the cottage and follow the dirt path to a village. Turn left before entering to find a campfire by the cliff and a Golden Rune [2].
• Continue along the cliff edge to discover the Ailing Village Outskirts grace up on a ledge.
• Pick up Flame Crest Wooden Shield from an empty cottage in the village.
• Head into the church near the village. Loot The Flame of Frenzy and Sacred Tear, but be wary of the rats.
• Return to Castle Morne Rampart and head up the north-northwest slope. In front of a gibbet on the cliff, you'll find Rainbow Stone x5.
• Grab the South of the Lookout Tower grace on the ledge behind the pond with dogs around it.
• Follow the rocky path west and across a bridge until you reach the church at the top. Grab the Church of Pilgrimage grace and Sacred Tear inside.
• Optional: Talk to Melina at the Church of Pilgrimage grace.
• Pick up Gilded Iron Shield and Blood Grease x2 from the small graveyard outside the church.
• Head down the slope toward the mausoleum, keeping along the cliff wall on the left until you reach the Tombsward grace on a ledge.
• Enter the church at the top of the slope near the mausoleum to grab the Fourth Church of Marika grace and Sacred Tear inside.
• Go back down the slope, then head southwest toward a shack near the beach to grab the Isolated Merchant's Shack grace.
• Buy a Lantern from the Isolated Merchant (Weeping Peninsula) if you can spare the runes. If not, you can buy it later.
• On the beach, you can find a Golden Rune [5], and a Golden Rune [1] behind a fallen tree.
• Continue along the beach for a Golden Rune [2] surrounded by Land Octopuses.
• Travel to the Church of Elleh and talk to Kale about the howling in Mistwood to learn the Finger Snap gesture.
• Locate Blaidd at the top of Mistwood Ruins. Use the Finger Snap gesture below him, then talk to him after he jumps down.
• Optional: Return to Kale and talk to him about Blaidd.
• Travel to Agheel Lake South and pick up the Golden Rune [2] in front of a gibbet just south of the grace.
• Enter the evergaol at the top of the slope, then kill Bloodhound Knight Darriwil for Bloodhound's Fang and 1,900 runes.
  • Optional: Blaidd's summon sign can be found in the evergaol if you spoke to him in Mistwood Ruins. (It's worth noting that summoning an NPC is never needed to progress a questline and will result in 25% fewer runes.)
• MISSABLE: After the fight, talk to Blaidd to receive a Somber Smithing Stone [2], then speak with him again to unlock a talisman for sale later.

Early Liurnia and Caelid0/0

• Note: Most enemies in this section can kill you easily, so focus on avoiding combat when following the steps.
• From Stormhill Shack, follow the uphill road to a scarab and kill it for Ash of War: Wild Strikes.
• On a ledge under the leftmost arch of the massive bridge, you'll find a Lump of Flesh.
• Past the massive bridge is a broken span that once connected to Liurnia. At the end of it sits a corpse with Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [7].
• Drop down to the area below the span and kill the scarab near the right edge to obtain Ash of War: Storm Wall.
• Continue up the nearby slope until you reach the Lake-Facing Cliffs grace.
• Head inside the church to the southwest to pick up a Sacred Tear.
• Talk to Thops and spare him 10 runes. Optionally, select "Talk", then speak to him about the academy glintstone key.
• Outside the church is a ravine path. At the end of the upper left side of the ravine, you'll find Warming Stone x3.
• In front of a gravestone on the opposite hill across the ravine, you'll pick up the Academy Scroll.
• Head down the ravine path to a camp with Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [1] and Smoldering Butterfly x6 (in a tent).
• Continue downhill and activate the Liurnia Lake Shore grace.
• Climb the slanted rock next to the grace and jump onto the gravestones in the cliff face to reach a Sacrificial Twig.
• Buy a Lantern from the Nomadic Merchant (South Liurnia) if you didn't get it earlier.
• Follow the watery path lined with broken arcades and fences until you reach a stele with Map: Liurnia, East.
• Continue along the path until you notice the Laskyar Ruins grace on your right side.
• Pick up Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [2] from the corpse near the grace.
• Grab the Smithing Stone [3] beside the stairs to the building with spires northwest of the grace, then use the sending gate inside.
• After arriving, head up to grab the South Raya Lucaria Gate grace and Meeting Place Map.
• Head down the bridge and pick up the Smithing Stone [3] to the left of the enemies past the spiked barricades.
• Continue down the nearby stairs, then head southeast at the bottom to find a Golden Seed.
• From the golden tree, head southeast until the town is on your left, then continue along the outskirts to find the Academy Gate Town grace.
• Pick up Map: Liurnia, North from the stele near the grace.
• West of the grace is a larger tree. From that tree, go north to find Diallos on the northern outskirts and talk to him.
• On a church roof just northwest of Diallos is a scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [2].
• Use the sending gate in the isolated building north-northwest of the scarab. After arriving, pick up Map: Liurnia, West from the stele.
• Just southwest of the map stele lies the Northern Liurnia Lake Shore grace.
• Follow the dirt path north-northeast through Kingsrealm Ruins and hit the illusory wall at the end to discover the Road to the Manor grace behind it.
• Optional: Exhaust Iji's dialogue, then select "Please take care" and "Talk".
  • If you exhausted Blaidd's dialogue after killing Darriwil, tell him that Blaidd sent you to unlock the Carian Filigreed Crest for purchase. Otherwise, it'll be available after entering Ranni's service.
  • Note: Don't buy any Somberstones from him; you'll have one of each by the end of this section.
• Return to the Northern Liurnia Lake Shore and head east-southeast across the lake. A chair with a Somber Smithing Stone [3] sits past the leftmost bridge pillar.
• Head south from the chair until you reach the Gate Town North grace on the remains of some roofs.
• Continue east-southeast toward a round building, then once you reach it, go east into the woods to find a building with Smithing Stone [3] x3 inside.
• On the shore east of the building, you'll discover the Eastern Liurnia Lake Shore grace.
• From the grace, head south-southwest to find Smithing Stone [3] x3 behind the magic Miranda Blossom on your right.
• Return to the grace and follow the dirt path to a fork. Take the right path downhill to grab the Study Hall Entrance grace inside a building.
• Below the tip of a slanted rock outside the building is a scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [3].
• Return to the fork and follow the other path uphill until you reach the church at the top. Activate the Church of Vows grace in front of it.
• Talk to Miriel in the church. Optionally, exhaust his dialogue about Radagon, then about Rennala.
  • Note: Give him the Academy Scroll and any future scrolls or prayerbooks to unlock their spells for purchase. Scrolls can also be given to Sellen or Seluvis (and prayerbooks to Corhyn or Miriel), but Miriel never moves and is the only NPC to accept both types.
• Pick up the Gold Sewing Needle and Golden Tailoring Tools from the chest in the church.
• At the edge of the cliff behind the church sits a corpse with Stormhawk Feather x5.
• Pick up the Grave Violet in front of a dead tree at the top of the hillside.
• Optional: Talk to Varre at The First Step, answer "I'll fly straight and true!", then exhaust his dialogue.
• Head around the building south of Varre and drop down next to the broken pillar to find Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot x2 on a ledge below the cliff.
• Drop down and head toward the gibbets to find a Smithing Stone [1] next to a bottomless pit.
• Just east-northeast of the pit lies the Dragon-Burnt Ruins:
  • Use Torrent to get inside the rightmost ruin and open the chest in the cellar to obtain the Twinblade.
  • In a corner just east past the rightmost ruin lies a corpse with Crab Eggs.
  • Go inside the ruined tower to find a Stonesword Key guarded by a rat.
  • Pick up the Golden Rune [2] next to the tower.
  • Head down the cellar full of rats and open the trap chest to be transported to Sellia Crystal Tunnel.
• After arriving in Sellia, open the chest in front of you for Gravity Stone Fan x6 and Gravity Stone Chunk x3.
• Crouch down and exit the hut toward the right side. Continue downward while crouched to reach the Sellia Crystal Tunnel grace.
• Pick up Rot Grease from the corner of the room.
• Exit the tunnel and head south-southwest toward the glowing footprints. Kill the invisible scarab to obtain Poison Armament.
  • Note: An easy way to deal with invisible scarabs is to mount up on Torrent and holding R2 or Shift + Left Click to charge a Heavy Attack along its path. When timed right, it should die running into your weapon.
• Pick up Rune Arc from the small island with a thin tree in the rot swamp.
• Continue southwest from the island to discover the Inner Aeonia grace.
• Head toward the large scarab northwest of the grace, then go through the ravine to find a Somber Smithing Stone [5] in front of some glintstone crystals.
• Exit the ravine, then follow the west wall to the corner of the swamp. On a root in the corner is a corpse with Sacramental Bud.
• Just south-southeast of the corner lies the Street of Sages Ruins:
  • Head down the cellar in the ruin closest to the corner for a chest with Rock Sling.
  • Loot the Perfumer Traveler's Set and Perfume Bottle from the ruin in the middle.
  • In the ruined tower, you'll find the Meteorite Staff and a Golden Rune [4].
• Head around the wall southeast of the ruined tower to discover the Aeonia Swamp Shore grace on a ledge near the shore.
• Ride southeast from the grace to find a teleporting scarab on a small island in the rot. Kill it to obtain Ash of War: Poisonous Mist.
• Southwest of the island, in the distance, is a small mushroom-covered mountain. Head around it to find a Golden Rune [3] guarded by putrid Miranda Sprouts.
• Climb the mushroom-covered mountain to find a Golden Rune [4] at the top, overlooking the swamp.
• East-southeast below the mountain lies a small campsite. Destroy the wagon there to find Crab Eggs x4 underneath.
• Continue east from the campsite to discover the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank grace behind a mushroom-covered branch.
• Pass time until morning, then head southwest to find the Nomadic Merchant (South Caelid) by the road.
• Pick up Map: Caelid from the stele next to the road.
• Follow the southeast path near the stele to a Golden Seed.
• Return to the grace and head northwest to find Smithing Stone [4] x3, Sacramental Bud x2, and a Rune Arc on some chairs at the shore.
• Ride north-northeast from the chairs to pick up Aeonian Butterfly and Somber Smithing Stone [4] from the corpses between two trees in the swamp.
• Continue up the nearby slope and kill the exploding scarab for Ash of War: Sacred Ring of Light.
• Travel to Roundtable Hold and talk to Roderika in front of the fireplace.
• Talk to Hewg about Roderika.
• Return to Roderika and tell her what the blacksmith said.
• Talk to Hewg about Roderika, then ask if he'll watch over her; your answer doesn't matter.
• Reload the area to find them in the same room. Roderika will now offer to upgrade your spirit ashes.
• Optional: Talk to Hewg about Roderika now that she's become a spirit tuner.
• Talk to Diallos, who is now back at Roundtable Hold.
• Note: At this point, you should have eight flasks upgraded to +5 and enough materials to upgrade any Somber weapon to +5. For beginners, I'd go with the Bloodhound's Fang (requires 18 Strength and 17 Dexterity) until you find a weapon you like.
• Optional: Here are some steps I didn't include. I wouldn't bother with them unless you know what you're doing:
  • Get the Gold Scarab for 20% more runes from enemies. You'll need to kill the duo boss in Abandoned Cave in Caelid to obtain it.
  • Cheese the Night's Cavalry on the bridge near Lenne's Rise to ride off the cliff.
  • Grab the Dectus Medallion (Right) and Radagon's Soreseal from Fort Faroth.
  • Kill Elder Dragon Greyoll with a bleed weapon and use a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot (and Gold Scarab) before she dies.
  • Obtain the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [1] in Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel and Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [2] in Sealed Tunnel (note that going for the latter will trigger the festival in Caelid, which will progress quite a few questlines).

• With Roderika now at Roundtable Hold, pick up the Golden Seed she left at Stormhill Shack.
• Travel to Fort Haight West and make your way into Fort Haight:
  • Pick up Bloodrose x3 from the corpse on the ground.
  • In the room up the first set of stairs is the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [6].
  • Kill the Godrick Knight on the upper level to receive Ash of War: Bloody Slash, then pick up the Bloodrose x5 behind him.
  • Head down the wooden staircase to the right of the ladder to find a Smithing Stone [1].
  • Climb the ladder to the top for a chest with the Dectus Medallion (Left).
• Return to Kenneth Haight on top of the arched ruin to receive the Erdsteel Dagger. Exhaust his dialogue and pledge service to him.
• Re-enter the fort and talk to Kenneth Haight where the knight was.
• Travel to the Church of Elleh and head north to find the entrance to Groveside Cave:
  • Activate the Groveside Cave grace inside and equip your lantern.
  • Below the ledge in the room is a Cracked Pot.
  • Pick up the Glowstone x3 and Golden Rune [1] in the water.
  • Kill the Beastman of Farum Azula for Flamedrake Talisman and 1,000 runes.
• Travel to Agheel Lake North and head northeast toward a camp with Kaiden Sellswords. Pick up the Armorer's Cookbook [1] in front of some pots.
• Just past the camp you'll see a pack of wolves. Pick up the Golden Rune [2] below the pack leader.
• Below the ledge east of the wolves, you'll discover the Murkwater Coast grace.
• Drop down northeast of the grace, where the edge of the ruin meets the cliff, and pick up the Poisonbloom x2 on a boulder in the water.
• Use the spiritspring while facing southeast to reach a shack. Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] next to it and interact with the painting inside for the "Homing Instinct" Painting.
• Grab the Artist's Shack grace just outside the shack.
• On the rocky ledge near the grace is an exploding scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
• Return to the spiritspring, then follow the water northwest to reach Murkwater Catacombs:
  • Head inside and activate the Murkwater Catacombs grace.
  • Pick up the 2x Grave Glovewort [1] in the first corridor.
  • In the room straight ahead is a corpse with Root Resin x5 and a lever that, when pulled, unlocks the door to the boss.
  • Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [1] on the way to the boss.
  • Kill the Grave Warden Duelist for Banished Knight Engvall and 1,700 runes.
• Return to the catacomb entrance and head along the water until you get invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus. Kill him to obtain the Reduvia.
• Optional: Head back along the water after killing Nerijus and talk to Yura below a ruin, where the jellyfish were.
• Look for a cave opening along the western cliff, where you got invaded, to find Murkwater Cave:
  • Head inside and grab the Murkwater Cave grace.
  • Loot Mushroom x5 from the chest straight ahead.
  • Open the chest in the boss room to obtain Cloth Garb and Cloth Trousers.
  • MISSABLE: After opening the chest, you'll be ambushed by Patches. Bring his HP below 50% without killing him and he'll surrender, giving you Golden Rune [1] x2 and the Grovel for Mercy gesture.
  • Talk to the now friendly Patches after the fight; your answer doesn't matter.
  • MISSABLE: Remove your weapon and punch him until he becomes hostile. Let him hit you until you're almost dead and he'll give you the Extreme Repentance gesture. Either use it in front of him, or let him kill you.
  • Optional: Reload the area and talk to Patches about the bandits, then about the new chest.
• After opening the new chest, turn around and grab the Gold-Tinged Excrement x5, Golden Rune [5], and Throwing Dagger x5 in the pond.
• Ride west-northwest past the sleeping Runebear to find the Mistwood Outskirts grace near a road.
• Rest at the grace, then follow the cliff edge west-southwest of the grace to a ruin. Pick up the Golden Rune [1] hanging from its edge.
• MISSABLE: Return to Patches to learn the Calm Down! gesture.
• Note: I strongly recommend buying Margit's Shackle from Patches. It can reveal illusory walls, trigger fire-breathing pillars, and (in the DLC) unlock sealed spiritsprings and break pots hanging from cliffs, all from a safe distance.
• Exit the cave and continue along the water to find a corpse with Fire Grease under a bridge.
• Head south-southwest past the bridge for a corpse with Arteria Leaf surrounded by Land Squirts behind a stone coffin.
• Kill the scarab southeast of the coffin for Ash of War: Unsheathe, but be wary of the Giant Crabs burrowed in the water.
• Pick up Crab Eggs from the nearby corpse surrounded by smaller crabs.
• Head toward the ruin west of the crabs and pick up the Slumbering Egg on top of it.
• Optional: Talk to Yura under the ruin.
• Grab the Seaside Ruins grace next to the cliff just west of the ruin.
• On top of a rock north-northwest of the grace is a Golden Rune [1] guarded by some bats.
• Continue northwest along the ledge, then drop down to see the Incantation Scarab appear in front of some gravestones (painting reward).
• Kill Flying Dragon Agheel in the lake for Dragon Heart and 5,000 runes.
  • Optional: If you die, you can return to Yura and exhaust his dialogue. His summon sign will then be available near a flat ruin in the lake.
• In the northern corner of the lake lies the entrance to Limgrave Tunnels:
  • Instead of taking the lift, drop down to the left of it for a Golden Rune [4] in a narrow tunnel.
  • Drop down all the way and activate the Limgrave Tunnels grace at the bottom.
  • Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] on the wall next to the first miner.
  • On the wall next to the miner down the first set of stairs is another Smithing Stone [1].
  • Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] in an alcove on the ground level.
  • Follow the southwest tunnel to a room with a Smithing Stone [1] and some rats.
  • Take the other tunnel to a lift and ride it to the bottom. Loot Large Glintstone Scrap x5 inside a hut.
  • In the area around the hut, you'll find 2x Smithing Stone [1].
  • Take the lift back up, then drop off while facing southeast to continue. On the wall between the two paths is a Smithing Stone [1].
  • Pick up Glintstone Scrap x3 from the right path.
  • Take the other path for a Smithing Stone [1] next to the miner near the lift.
  • Drop down to the left of the lift for a Golden Rune [1] on a ledge, then drop to the ledge below it for a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
  • Grab a final Smithing Stone [1] from the right wall before the boss.
  • Kill the Stonedigger Troll for Roar Medallion and 1,800 runes.
• Travel to Agheel Lake North and pass time until nightfall. Follow the road southeast and kill the Night's Cavalry on the bridge for Ash of War: Repeating Thrust and 2,400 runes.
• On top of the cliff east of the bridge, at the base of a gibbet, you'll find a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot.
• Stop the caravan traveling the road below, then loot the Greataxe in the back of the carriage.
• Continue along the road until it meets a large ruin blocking the path. Pick up the Smoldering Butterfly x4 nearby.
• On the hill near the blocked road lies Waypoint Ruins:
  • In a small alley in the back of the ruins is a corpse with Glowstone x2.
  • Loot the Immunizing Cured Meat and Golden Rune [1] around the Miranda Blossom in the center.
  • Hanging off the wall above the Miranda Blossom is a corpse with Trina's Lily x4.
  • Head down the cellar visible from the top of the wall and kill the Mad Pumpkin Head for 1,100 runes.
  • Grab the Waypoint Ruins Cellar grace and talk to Sellen. Answer "I want to learn sorcery", then "I still want to learn" to receive the Nod In Thought gesture.
• Kill the lone Noble Sorcerer on the hillside south of Waypoint Ruins, below the ruin, to obtain the Glintstone Staff (first time).
• Loot 3x Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], and a Golden Rune [3] from the nearby cemetery.
• Head toward the camp on the slope just south of the cemetery. In front of a tent on the left side sits a chest containing the Great Epee.
• Continue up the slope for a Golden Rune [1], then pick up the Royal House Scroll on top of the ruin next to it.
• An astrolabe with Starlight Shards sits at the edge of a small cliff south-southeast of the ruin.
• On a lower ledge, west-southwest of the astrolabe, is a gibbet with a Golden Rune [1] next to it.
• Drop onto the road and follow it northwest while hugging the right wall to a slope. Kill the lone enemy on the slope and he'll turn into a Runebear that drops a Larval Tear.
• Optional: Talk to Yura under the ruin just west of the slope.
• Travel to The First Step and head west-northwest toward the beach. Down the slope with a Troll, you'll find an invisible scarab that drops Ash of War: Stamp (Sweep).
• Pick up the Strip of White Flesh next to a campfire at the north end of the beach.
• Follow the shoreline to a corpse with Land Octopus Ovary beside a fallen tree.
• Continue along the shoreline to find the Nomadic Merchant (West Limgrave) under a ruin.
• Near the waterfall at the end of the beach is a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot.
• Head back along the beach while hugging the cliff to discover the entrance to Coastal Cave:
  • Grab the Coastal Cave grace, then talk to Boc next to it.
  • The only item in this cave is a Land Octopus Ovary just outside the boss room.
  • Kill the two Demi-Human Chiefs for Tailoring Tools, Sewing Needle and 1,200 runes.
    • Optional: Old Knight Istvan's summon sign can be found just outside the room.
  • A corpse with Smoldering Butterfly lies in the tunnel past the boss.
• Continue through the tunnel to emerge on a small island, then head uphill and grab the Church of Dragon Communion grace.
• Optional: Examine the altar in the church and buy any dragon communion incantations you need.
• Climb the slanted ruin next to the church to find Exalted Flesh at the top.
• Northwest of the ruin, next to some trees at the edge, lies a corpse with Great Dragonfly Head x4.
• Follow the cliff edge south-southeast to a scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
• Continue along the edge to find a Smithing Stone [2].
• Return to Boc in Coastal Cave and give him the sewing needle.

North Limgrave0/0

• Travel to The First Step and kill the Tree Sentinel for Golden Halberd and 3,200 runes.
• At the base of the cliff northwest of the Church of Elleh lies the entrance to Stormfoot Catacombs:
  • Head inside and activate the Stormfoot Catacombs grace.
  • Pick up Root Resin x2 from the room straight ahead.
  • Take the other path to a Grave Glovewort [1] in the boss door room.
  • Behind an unlit brazier in the next room is a Grave Glovewort [1].
  • Head past the first fire-breathing pillar and attack it to deactivate it, or just use Margit's Shackle if you have it. Pick up Prattling Pate "Hello" behind the pillar.
  • Go past the second pillar and loot the Smoldering Butterfly x3 and Ghost Glovewort [1] behind it, guarded by several Imps.
  • Climb the ladder in the corridor to a Grave Glovewort [1] immediately to the left.
  • In the room at the end, you'll find a Grave Glovewort [1] and Wandering Noble Ashes.
  • Drop to the ledge outside the room for a Grave Glovewort [1] and the boss lever.
  • Kill the Erdtree Burial Watchdog for Noble Sorcerer Ashes and 1,300 runes.
• Travel to Stormhill Shack and head south-southwest to a cliff wall, then follow it to a slope near the edge. A Smithing Stone [1] is in the graveyard up the slope.
• Continue east-southeast to find another graveyard, but with Magic Grease x3, Godrick Soldier Ashes, and Bloodrose x3 (next to a gibbet).
• At the cliff edge south of the second graveyard, you'll find an astrolabe with Starlight Shards.
• On top of the nearby ruin is a corpse with the Crossed Legs gesture.
• Kill the Crucible Knight in the evergaol east of the ruin for Aspects of the Crucible: Tail and 2,100 runes.
• Enter the gate just northeast of the evergoal for a chest containing the Arrow's Reach Talisman.
• Return to the evergaol, then head north toward the cliff edge and drop onto the ruin with a Troll. Pick up the Golden Rune [2] hanging off its edge.
• MISSABLE: Travel to Warmaster's Shack and follow the path north-northwest of the grace until you get invaded by Recusant Henricus. Kill him for the Hammer Talisman.
• In front of the colosseum lies a corpse with Small Red Effigy and Duelist's Furled Finger.
• Go around the ledge of the farthest bridge pillar east of the colosseum to find Soporific Grease x3.
• Jump back onto the cliff and head toward the ruin south-southwest. Kill the mounted Godrick Knight near it to receive Ash of War: Golden Vow.
• Kill the scarab on top of the ruin to obtain a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
• Below the cliff edge south of the ruin with the scarab is another ruin. Jump onto it and grab the Lance hanging off its edge.
• Drop to the camp below and head northeast, this time going up the left ledge to find the entrance to Deathtouched Catacombs on your left:
  • Head inside and activate the Deathtouched Catacombs grace.
  • Pick up the 2x Grave Glovewort [1] in the first room.
  • Go through the narrow passageway beside the staircase for a Grave Glovewort [1].
  • Take the other passageway to a ledge with Uchigatana and a Grave Glovewort [1].
  • Pick up the Grave Glovewort [1] in the room below.
  • Pull the boss lever in the final room, then turn around for a corpse with Bloodrose x3.
  • Kill the injured Black Knife Assassin for Assassin's Crimson Dagger and 1,600 runes.
  • Open the chest in the boss room to obtain a Deathroot.
• Exit the catacombs and head north-northeast toward a field of Golem remains. Pick up the Lance Talisman on the remains of a Golem near the cliff.
• Head south toward some gibbets near the edge for a Golden Rune [3] beneath one of them.
• Travel to Saintsbridge and jump down the gap to the right of the bridge while on horseback, landing near the spiritspring. Then, head up north and drop down near the cliff to find a campsite with Turtle Neck Meat.
• In the cliff just below the campsite lies the entrance to Highroad Cave:
  • Head inside and activate the Highroad Cave grace.
  • After dropping down once, go through the northeast tunnel for a Golden Rune [1] guarded by some wolves.
  • Drop down the hole in the middle, follow the downward path to some wolves, then take the left path up to a ledge with Arteria Leaf.
  • Below the ledge lies a corpse with Fire Grease x2.
  • When the cave opens up, drop down at the end of a ledge, then turn around to find Smithing Stone [1] x3.
  • Follow the tunnel at the top of the waterfall to a Smithing Stone [2], then a Golden Rune [4] farther in.
  • Drop down the waterfall and cross the pillar in the water to pick up Shamshir next to some bats.
  • Continue across and through a tunnel until you reach the Furlcalling Finger Remedy hanging off a ledge.
  • Go through the tunnel under a waterfall and kill the Guardian Golem for Blue Dancer Charm and 1,700 runes.
• Travel to Warmaster's Shack, pass time until nightfall, and kill the Bell Bearing Hunter in the shack for Bone Peddler's Bell Bearing and 2,700 runes.
• While it's still night, kill the Deathbird on the flat ruin east of Warmaster's Shack for Blue-Feathered Branchsword and 2,800 runes.
• Travel to Summonwater Village Outskirts and kill the Tibia Mariner in the village for Deathroot, Skeletal Militiaman Ashes and 2,400 runes.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] in front of some gravestones in the water.
• In the ruined structure near the gravestones is a corpse with Mushroom x3.
• Head toward the part of the ruins up on the hill to find a Golden Rune [4] in a small tower.
• In front of the church where Limgrave meets Caelid, you'll be invaded by Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater. Kill her for the Sacred Scorpion Charm.
• Grab the Smoldering Church grace and loot the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [14] and Missionary's Cookbook [3] next to it.
• Next to some dogs and a wagon southeast of the grace is a corpse with Drawstring Lightning Grease x2.
• Beyond the smoldering fence at the end of the road lies the Rotview Balcony grace.
• Pick up the Nascent Butterfly x2 in front of the grace.
• Loot the Golden Rune [3] and Preserving Boluses x5 from the shacks near the grace.
• Climb the ledge south-southwest of the grace to discover a cemetery with a Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], and a Golden Rune [3].
• Travel to Bestial Sanctum and feed Gurranq the two Deathroots you got earlier to receive Bestial Sling, Clawmark Seal, and Beast Eye.
• Note: Offer the Bone Peddler's Bell Bearing and any future bell bearings to the Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold to unlock new items.

• From the South of the Lookout Tower grace, head northeast up the slope, then turn left to find 2x Golden Rune [1] x3 on the stretch leading to the tower.
• Climb the ladders in the lookout tower for a chest at the top containing Hand Ballista and Ballista Bolt x5.
• Return to South of the Lookout Tower and head north down the cliff. After dropping down, pick up a Rainbow Stone from the campsite.
• Follow the downward slope north of the campsite to enter Earthbore Cave:
  • Head inside and activate the Earthbore Cave grace.
  • Avoid the crack in the floor that collapses when stepped on, and open the chest behind it for Pickled Turtle Neck x3.
  • Follow the tunnel to a Golden Rune [1].
  • Continue ahead to pick up Glowstone x5 and Kukri x8 from two corpses next to each other.
  • Drop down and kill the Runebear for Spelldrake Talisman and 2,600 runes.
  • Pick up the Smoldering Butterfly x5 and Trina's Lily at the end of the room.
• Head back up the slope outside the cave, then follow the cliff edge above it northwest to a basin with the Faith-knot Crystal Tear.
• Just south of the basin lies Demi-Human Forest Ruins:
  • Kill the Demi-Human Queen near the entrance for Demi-Human Queen's Staff and Crystal Burst.
  • Pick up Arteria Leaf x2 from the corpse near the queen.
  • Head down the cellar in the southernmost part of the ruins for a chest containing Shield of the Guilty
• Among the flowers southeast of the ruins, you'll find Gold-Tinged Excrement x2 and String x5.
• Head south from the patch of flowers to find a Golden Rune [2] next to some Miranda Blossoms.
• Follow the dirt path south of the Miranda Blossoms to Morne Tunnel:
  • Drop down to the left of the lift for a Smithing Stone [1] on the wall.
  • Activate the Morne Tunnel grace at the bottom.
  • Climb the ladder at the end of the first room for a Smithing Stone [1] on the wall.
  • Head into the next room without falling, and pick up the Golden Rune [2] down the first set of stairs.
  • In the alcove just northeast of the rune is an outcrop with Smithing Stone [1].
  • Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] near the bottom of the stairs.
  • Follow the south tunnel to a hut with a Golden Rune [4] and a chest with Exalted Flesh.
  • Pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [1] behind the hut, then the Large Glintstone Scrap x2 in the nearby alcove.
  • In the area below the stairs in the previous room, you'll find a Smithing Stone [1] on the wall and Stanching Boluses on a corpse.
  • Follow the west tunnel to a large room. At the west end of it, you'll find a smaller room with Soft Cotton.
  • Pick up the 4x Smithing Stone [1], Somber Smithing Stone [1], and Arteria Leaf x2 in the large room.
  • On the wall to the right before the boss is a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
  • Kill the Scaly Misbegotten for Rusted Anchor and 2,000 runes.
• From the Church of Pilgrimage, head south toward a stone arch against a cliff. Behind it lies the entrance to Tombsward Catacombs:
  • Head inside and grab the Tombsward Catacombs grace.
  • Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal for a corpse with Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [9].
  • Pick up Grave Glovewort [1] and Grave Glovewort [2] from the first room.
  • Go down the stairs for a Grave Glovewort [1] to the right and a Ghost Glovewort [1] in the back.
  • Pick up the Grave Glovewort [1] in the corridor.
  • Deactivate the fire-breathing pillar, then pick up the Human Bone Shard x5 on the ground.
  • In the room east of the pillar, you'll find a Grave Glovewort [2] and Prattling Pate "Thank you".
  • Activate the pillar while standing on top of it to reach the Golden Rune [2] on the ledge.
  • Pick up the Grave Glovewort [2] in front of a coffin, then pull the lever ahead.
  • Kill the Cemetery Shade for Lhutel the Headless and 2,200 runes.
• Exit the catacombs and kill the Erdtree Avatar in front of the Minor Erdtree for Opaline Bubbletear, Crimsonburst Crystal Tear, and 3,600 runes.
• Kill the Operatic Bat below the cliff past the Erdtree for a Golden Rune [6] (first time), then pick up the nearby Sliver of Meat.
• Head west-northwest from the bats to a large ruin, then go north-northeast toward a stone arch and drop to the ledge below it. On a pillar below the ledge sits a corpse with Eclipse Crest Heater Shield.
• Travel to the Tombsward grace and head north-northwest toward Tombsward Ruins:
  • Pick up Beast Liver next to a rat in the middle of the ruins.
  • Open the chest in the cellar to obtain Winged Scythe.
• Kill the scarab at the top of the large ruin next to the ruins for Divine Fortification.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the evergaol west of the ruins, then kill the Ancient Hero of Zamor for Radagon's Scarseal and 5,400 runes.
• On a lower ledge south of the evergaol lies the entrance to Tombsward Cave:
  • Go inside and grab the Tombsward Cave grace.
  • Pick up the Golden Rune [2] right before the poison swamp.
  • On the opposite end of the swamp is a Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
  • Follow the northeast tunnel past some rats to pick up Immunizing White Cured Meat and Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [8].
  • Head back and take the path on the right side to an Arteria Leaf on a ledge.
  • Drop down to find a corpse in the poison with Poisonbone Dart x6.
  • Kill Miranda the Blighted Bloom for Viridian Amber Medallion and 2,100 runes.
• Exit the cave and take down the Wandering Mausoleum by hacking away at the skull formations on its feet until it collapses.
• In the area next to the slope that leads to the church lies Witchbane Ruins:
  • Pick up Great Dragonfly Head from a corpse in the back of the ruins.
  • Head down the cellar to find Ambush Shard next to Sellen's body.
• Head south from the cellar to discover a cemetery on your left with 4x Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], and a Golden Rune [3].
• On top of the slope northeast of the cemetery, in front of some gibbets, you'll find Great Dragonfly Head x3.
• Drop below the cliff southeast of the gibbets to discover a corpse in a chair with Mushroom x4.
• Return to the gibbets and climb the lookout tower to open the trap chest at the top. After arriving, grab the Divine Bridge grace just ahead.
• Open the chest to the right of the Golem for the Blessed Dew Talisman.
• Travel to Castle Morne Rampart and use the nearby spiritspring while facing south to reach the top of a tower with Great Turtle Shield and Warming Stone x2.
• An astrolabe with Starlight Shards sits at the cliff edge east of the tower.
• Head toward Oridys's Rise and examine the book in front of it. You'll need to hit three "Wise Beasts" to gain entry:
  • #1: In a bush to the left of the stairs. In front of you as you interact with the book. [Location 1]
  • #2: On the road leading to the tower. Just look behind you after interacting with the book. [Location 2]
  • #3: In the pond to the right of the tower. This one is invisible so aim where the water splashes. [Location 3]
• Enter the tower and loot the chest at the top to obtain a Memory Stone.
• Exit the tower and go north to find the Beside the Crater-Pocked Glade grace next to a ruin.
• Head north past the craters until you reach the cliff's edge, where you'll find a corpse in a chair with Stonesword Key.
• Down the slope below the cliff southeast of the chair lies the entrance to Impaler's Catacombs:
  • Head inside to grab the Impaler's Catacombs grace.
  • On a coffin in the first room is a Grave Glovewort [1].
  • Follow the path straight ahead to a Grave Glovewort [2].
  • Momentarily step inside the room down the other path. When the floor rises to impale you, drop down beneath it for a Ghost Glovewort [2].
  • Loot the Grave Glovewort [2], Prattling Pate "Please Help", Root Resin x3, and 2x Grave Glovewort [1] from the sewage area with respawning enemies.
  • Climb the ladder in the back, pull the lever, and pick up the Grave Glovewort [2] in the corner guarded by an Imp.
  • Kill the Erdtree Burial Watchdog for Demi-Human Ashes and 2,400 runes.
• Travel to Castle Morne Rampart, pass time until nightfall, and kill the Night's Cavalry there for Ash of War: Barricade Shield, Nightrider Flail, and 3,400 runes.
• Head southwest through the rampart and kill the Deathbird behind a large ruin for Sacrificial Axe and 3,900 runes.
• Continue southwest toward a beach to find a Golden Rune [1] in front of a gibbet.
• Enter Castle Morne and activate the Castle Morne Lift grace.

Castle Morne0/0

• After taking the lift, go up the stairs on the left for a Smithing Stone [2].
• To the left of a tree at the southwest end of the area is a corpse with Smithing Stone [1] x3.
• Pick up Fire Grease x2 from a ledge next to the mound of corpses in the courtyard.
• Enter the room accessible from the ledge for a chest by the entrance containing the Claymore.
• Go down the stairs and climb the ladder. On the rampart you'll find a Furlcalling Finger Remedy and the Steel-Wire Torch.
• Climb the ladder on the rampart, then drop down for a Golden Rune [2] hanging off the edge of a bridge.
• On the right side past the bridge is a ladder that leads to a corpse with Smithing Stone [2] x2.
• Descend the ladder on the left side past the bridge for a Golden Rune [2] near the clashing enemies.
• Go up the wooden stairs and talk to Edgar to receive a Sacrificial Twig, then deliver him Irina's Letter.
• Head back down and step on the brick rubble at the end of the rampart, then jump over the fence to grab the Behind the Castle grace.
• Drop to the top of a rampart, then drop down southwest to land on a wooden platform with a Stonesword Key.
• Enter the room below to find a corpse with Pickled Turtle Neck.
• Climb the ladder across the bridge for a chest containing the Twinblade Talisman.
• Drop onto the rooftop below the bridge and pick up the Tarnished Golden Sunflower x3 next to a tree.
• Continue down until you reach a castle platform, then drop onto a wooden beam down the hole to pick up Smithing Stone [2].
• In the room at the bottom sits a corpse with the Whip.
• Turn left outside the room to discover the Beside the Rampart Gaol grace.
• Cross the wooden bridge to pick up Throwing Dagger x8.
• Descend the ladder, then head around the side of the structure to find a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
• In the narrow passage north-northeast of the ladder is a corpse with Fire Arrow x15.
• 🏆 Kill Leonine Misbegotten for Grafted Blade Greatsword and 3,800 runes.
  • Optional: Edgar's summon sign can be found outside the entrance if you gave him Irina's Letter.
• There are no items in the arena, so go ahead and activate the Morne Moangrave grace.
• Optional: Return to Edgar and exhaust his dialogue.
• Travel to the Bridge of Sacrifice and talk to Edgar beside Irina's corpse.

Stormveil Castle0/0

• From Stormhill Shack, follow the uphill road to the castle entrance. Head inside and grab the Castleward Tunnel grace in an alcove.
• 🏆 MISSABLE: Defeat Margit, the Fell Omen for Talisman Pouch and 12,000 runes.
  • Optional: Rogier's summon sign can be found outside the entrance.
• Activate the Margit, the Fell Omen grace, then grab the Stormveil Main Gate grace in front of the gate.
• Descend the stairs northeast of the grace for a Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
• Drop to the wooden platform below the stairs to find Fire Grease x2 at the end of a small tunnel.
• Optional: Return to the gate and talk to Gostoc. Don't worry about the main gate, you can open it yourself later.
• Go through the hole in the wall and pick up the Golden Rune [1] immediately on the left, then the Ruin Fragment x3 on the nearby ledge.
• Continue to a broken wall but instead of dropping down, climb it up to discover a corpse with Smithing Stone [2].
• After dropping down, head south-southeast and down the slope to find Bolt x10 at the end.
• Head up the slope for a Smithing Stone [3] guarded by Stormhawks on the left side.
• Continue north and drop down to discover the Stormveil Cliffside grace.
• Pick up Marred Leather Shield from the corpse up the first set of stairs.
• Before you enter the castle, pick up the Golden Rune [2] on the scaffolding around the entrance.
• Head inside and loot the Hookclaws in a corner on the first floor.
  • Note: Gostoc will now steal 30% of your runes each time you die inside the castle.
• Go up the stairs and pick up the Throwing Dagger x5 in a narrow passage next to a locked door.
• Pick up St. Trina's Arrow x10 from a hole in the wall covered with vines.
• Back inside, jump to the ledge east-southeast of the hole for a Golden Rune [2], then back across to grab the Smoldering Butterfly x3 in front of the barrels.
• Enter the room at the top. Kill the knight to unlock the door, then loot the corpse for Rusty Key and the chest for Curved Sword Talisman.
• MISSABLE: Unlock the earlier door and step through the doorway at the top of the ladder. This will trigger Gostoc to spawn on the first floor. Talk to him to receive a Grace Mimic. [Location 2]
• Kill the greataxe-wielding soldier next to him, then return to the top of the ladder. Head northwest first for a Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot.
• Head outside and go around the ledge below the stairs to find Mushroom x3.
• Ascend the outside stairs, then the first set of stairs inside. Grab the Rampart Tower grace in the north room, but do not rest at it.
• Head out the north exit and run for the downward staircase that leads to a rooftop past the Stormhawks. Either kill them or lose their aggro, then fast travel to the Rampart Tower grace. You should now see Gostoc behind a nearby lift. Talk to him and he'll stop stealing your runes. Also pick up the Drawstring Fire Grease x2 beside him.
  • Note: If he's not there, check to see if he's stuck at his earlier location. Clear his path of enemies, run to the stairs past the Stormhawks without resting, then teleport to the Rampart Tower and he should appear. [Location 4]
• Descend the stairs with a Banished Knight close by and look for thorny vines outside. Drop to the ledge below the vines and follow it to a hole in the wall with Arteria Leaf x3.
• Drop onto the wooden platform inside, then go across the plank for a corpse with Fire Grease.
• Jump to the elevated platform near the plank and head down the outside scaffolding to pick up the Brick Hammer.
• Travel to the Rampart Tower and head outside toward the Stormhawks. Drop down below the left side balcony and pick up the Marred Wooden Shield below a thin ledge.
• Continue down until the platform collapses. After landing, take out the scarab to obtain Ash of War: Storm Assault.
• Kill the Crucible Knight for Aspects of the Crucible: Horns. If you want to play it safe, you could run a short distance past him to grab a shortcut lift.
• Pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [2] in the alcove near the Crucible Knight.
• Take the shortcut lift back to the Rampart Tower and go up the stairs. Jump across the lift's wheels to pick up Throwing Dagger x5.
• Continue outside to pick up a Golden Rune [2] from a wooden platform.
• Jump onto the stone fence and follow it to the southeast tower. Then, jump to the ledge around the east tower and drop down inside it for a Stonesword Key.
• Pick up the Dozing Cross-Legged gesture from the corpse on the rooftop below.
• Head around the thin ledge of the tower west of the gesture to find a corpse with Smithing Stone [2] x2.
• Go back to the rooftops, then go around the ledge up a slanted pillar. Climb the ladder in front of a tower and pick up the Claw Talisman at the top.
• Return to the Rampart Tower and loot the Smithing Stone [2] at the end of the rampart with the Stormhawks.
• A corpse with Golden Rune [2] lies on the rooftop down the stairs.
• From the corpse, turn southeast and jump to the lower part of the roof for Kukri x5.
• Optional: Enter through the window and talk to Rogier next to the altar. Answer that you're here to defeat Godrick.
• Exit the church and continue to a room with Golden Rune [2] x2.
• Continue until you reach a room with a Banished Knight, then open the chest next to a table for Mimic's Veil.
• Exit the room the way you entered, then climb the sacks against the fence to an area with a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot.
• Head up the wooden platform and climb the ladder at its end. Drop down straight ahead and enter the dark room for a Stonesword Key and a chest with Pickled Turtle Neck x3.
• Turn back and open the shortcut door, then descend the stairs to the dark room. Below the staircase lies an Exalted Flesh.
• Loot the Highland Axe and Stanching Boluses from the room with the Grafted Scion (won't respawn if killed).
• At the west-southwest end of the room is a shortcut lift back to the Rampart Tower if you need to rest.
• Enter the south-southeast room to pick up Crimson Hood, Lump of Flesh, and Golden Rune [1] around a pile of corpses.
  • Note: If Roderika still hasn't moved to Roundtable Hold, you'll find the Chrysalid's Memento instead of the hood. You'll need to follow her questline at the roundtable until she becomes a spirit tuner. She'll then throw away her hood, which replaces the memento.
• Enter the north-northwest room and pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [2] beneath the statue on the right.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal and loot the Hawk Crest Wooden Shield, Misericorde, and Iron Whetblade in the room.
• Head through the remaining doorway in the dark room. Immediately on the left is a staircase that leads to Arrow x10 on a wooden platform.
• Enter the courtyard, then immediately head left to find a cellar entrance. Pick up the Fireproof Dried Liver beside a table.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal and open the two chests to obtain Godslayer's Seal and Godskin Prayerbook.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [4] on the outside ledge. Remember this ledge, because you'll return here to drop down later.
• For now, climb the ladder to the left of the cellar exit and pick up Arrow x10 from behind a barrel.
• Continue to another ladder. At the top of it lies a corpse with Festering Bloody Finger x3.
  • Note: Skip this item until you've received your first Festering Bloody Fingers from Varre in South Liurnia. Picking it up now makes About Invasion Multiplayer unobtainable for the rest of the playthrough. For more info, see Varre's questline.
• Continue past the Banished Knights and across the wooden bridge for a ladder that leads to the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [10] on a wooden platform.
• From the wooden platform, jump onto the roof next to it, then drop down the hole to find a corpse with Wooden Greatshield.
• Head down the stairs and look to the right past some trees to find Mushroom x8 in a corner.
• On the nearby stairs lies a corpse with Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] x2 in the alley west of the stairs, then grab the Liftside Chamber grace in the room next to it.
• Enter the courtyard and grab the "Prophecy" Painting from the room on the west side.
• Loot the Magic Grease, Golden Rune [1], 2x Golden Rune [2], Pike, and Smoldering Butterfly x5 around the flamespitters in the courtyard.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [4] and Kukri x5 on the incline that leads up to the courtyard.
• Return to the courtyard and pick up Fire Arrow x12 from a wooden guard post.
• Head through the cellar again and drop down the ledge from earlier. Pick up the Smithing Stone [2] behind the ballistas, then go down the stairs for a Smithing Stone [1].
• Enter the room to the right of the main gate to grab a Golden Rune [5] and the Gateside Chamber grace.
• Through the door past the grace sits a corpse with Commoner's Simple Garb.
• Push the lever to open the main gate if Gostoc didn't do it earlier, then loot the Ballista Bolt x5, Golden Rune [2], and Golden Rune [1] behind the gate.
• Kill the Elder Lion in the corner on the right at the top of the slope for Somber Smithing Stone [1], Beast Blood, and Old Fang x2.
• Go through the east-northeast corridor to grab the Limgrave Tower Bridge grace for later.
• Head back through the corridor and to a doorway that leads to multiple sets of stairs. Jump up the rocks left of the stairs, then onto the cliff on the opposite side to grab the Arbalest from a walled area.
• Travel to the Liftside Chamber, go up the nearby stairs, then up the staircase on the left that leads to a Smithing Stone [2].
• Turn back and head past the spiked barricades for a Golden Rune [2] beside some breakable crates.
• MISSABLE: Enter the room on the right and exhaust Nepheli's dialogue for a talisman later.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [1] x4 in the corner of the room.
• Exit the room and pick up the Golden Seed between two trees to the right of the path.
• In an alley between two houses on the right, you'll find a Smithing Stone [2].
• Bait the Troll into following you and attacking the fallen statue back in the courtyard to obtain 5x Smithing Stone [1] and a Smithing Stone [2].
• Return to the stairs and grab the Secluded Cell grace in the room on the right before of the boss.
• Kill the scarab past the southwest doorway to obtain Ash of War: Stormcaller.
• Pick up the 2x Cracked Pot behind the Living Jars in the back.
• Optional: Beyond the south-southeast doorway is a shortcut lift that goes down to the Liftside Chamber.
• On a wooden ledge northeast of the jars sits a corpse with Kukri x8.
• Jump to the ledge on the wall and follow it to a ledge with two archways. In the area past them, you'll find Lump of Flesh x3.
• Climb the sacks and head through the doorway. At the top of the room, turn right for Smithing Stone [2] x3 on a wooden ledge.
• Pick up Golden Rune [2] and Smithing Stone [1] from a corner before the next room.
• Beneath the stairs at the bottom floor of the room, you'll find the Manor Towershield.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [3] next to the glowing message outside.
• Drop onto the ledge below and make your way down to a Golden Rune [5] hanging off a balcony.
• Grab the Rainbow Stone x5 inside, then open the shortcut door east of the corpse.
• Return to the corpse and jump across the broken platforms to reach a corpse with Arteria Leaf on the other side.
• At the end of a broken buttress sits a corpse with Smithing Stone [2] x2.
• Drop to the bottom for a Golden Rune [2] in the corner.
• Pick up the Poisonbloom x3 past the rats, then kill the scarab just past it to obtain Rancorcall.
• Kill the Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the arena below for a Golden Seed. This will also unlock Rogier's dialogue about the corpse under Stormveil for later.
• Loot the Smoldering Butterfly x3, Stonesword Key, and Throwing Dagger x8 from the corpses in the arena.
• Pick up the Prince of Death's Pustule next to the squid-like visage at the end.
• 🏆 Travel to the Secluded Cell and kill Godrick the Grafted for Godrick's Great Rune, Remembrance of the Grafted, and 20,000 runes.
  • Optional: Nepheli's summon sign can be found near the entrance if you exhausted her dialogue earlier.
• Rest at the Godrick the Grafted grace, then talk to Gostoc in the arena.
• Head through the throne room and grab the Shabriri Grape on the bottom floor.
• Go outside and talk to Hyetta next to the Lake-Facing Cliffs. Give her the Shabriri Grape to learn the As You Wish gesture.
• Optional: Talk to Boc next to the Lake-Facing Cliffs grace and select "Don't tell me…".
• Travel to the Limgrave Tower Bridge and pick up the Boltdrake Talisman up the stairs.
• In the crater on the right before the Archer Golem, you'll find a Warming Stone.
• Loot the Soft Cotton and Ash-of-War Scarab down the rubble at the end of the bridge.
• Use the sending gate to reach the other side. Pick up the Golden Rune [2] on a balcony, then grab the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot next to the Golem remains.
• At the end of the bridge is a corpse with Stormhawk Feather x5 hanging off the right side edge.
• Go back and ride the lift in the tower to reach the Divine Tower of Limgrave grace.
• 🏆 Interact with the rune at the top and restore the power of Godrick's Great Rune.
  • Note: Great Runes can be equipped at sites of grace and activated with Rune Arcs. The effects are lost on death, so you'll need a new Rune Arc each time you die.

Fringefolk Hero's Grave0/0

• Note: Make sure you have a ranged weapon like a bow or crossbow (including arrows or bolts) for killing the chariot.
• Optional: Talk to Varre now that Godrick is dead.
• Travel to Roundtable Hold and exhaust Enia's dialogue in the newly opened room.
• Touch the Two Fingers to learn the Rapture gesture.
• On the balcony opposite Enia's room sits Rogier:
  • Tell him that you've defeated Godrick to receive Rogier's Rapier+8.
    • Note: You can remove the ash of war from his weapon to obtain Ash of War: Glintblade Phalanx.
  • Talk to him about the corpse under Stormveil to unlock dialogue about the black knifeprints with Fia.
  • Talk to him about D and he'll additionally drop Rogier's Letter when he dies, detailing the location of D, Hunter of the Dead's brother.
• MISSABLE: In the hall below the balcony, you'll be invaded by Mad Tongue Alberich. Let him finish his gesture to learn the Reverential Bow gesture, then kill him for Taunter's Tongue.
• Head through the open door that leads to a corpse on a bed with the Cipher Pata.
• Optional: Talk to Hewg and he'll comment that you've felled your mark. Reload the area, then talk to him about his prayer.
• MISSABLE: Let Fia hold you, then select "Do you know…?" and "About the Black Knifeprint" to receive the Knifeprint Clue.
• Optional: Talk to D, Hunter of the Dead about Rogier.
• Exhaust Nepheli's dialogue in the library. If you talked to her in Stormveil Castle, you'll receive the (missable) Arsenal Charm.
• Optional: Exhaust Gideon Ofnir's dialogue, then talk to him about Nepheli.
• Travel to the Church of Pilgrimage and grab the Warhawk Ashes on the cliff edge behind the church (painting reward).
• Descend the pillar behind the church to find Bewitching Branch x3 and Sliver of Meat on a ledge below the cliff.
• Travel to Seaside Ruins and jump down the spiritspring below the cliff south-southwest of the grace. Kill the Alabaster Lord on the beach for Ash of War: Gravitas (first time).
• Past the fallen pillar on the beach lies a corpse with Lump of Flesh x3.
• Enter the cave on the beach to find the Haligdrake Talisman hanging off a ledge.
• Requires 2 Stonesword Keys: Drop down to go up some stairs and unlock the entrance to Fringefolk Hero's Grave:
  • Descend the ladder and run past the poison. Wait for the chariot to appear, then pick up the Poisonbone Dart x5.
  • Continue until you reach a thin bridge with an item. Drop to the first ledge below the bridge, use Margit's Shackle to deactivate the fire-breathing pillar, then enter the north-northwest room for Lightning Grease x2.
  • Pick up the Erdtree's Favor in the other room, then immediately run back across to drop to the ledge below the start of the bridge.
  • After dropping down, take the lift up to a ledge with a Stonesword Key and a Banished Knight.
  • Equip a bow or crossbow, then once the chariot slams into the wall below and the screen starts shaking, shoot one of the ceiling ropes to drop a giant pot onto it, destroying the chariot and earning you the Erdtree Greatbow and Great Arrow x10.
    • Note: You can respawn the pots by resting at the grace.
  • With the chariot dead, drop down and pick up the Golden Rune [5] on the thin bridge.
  • Follow the uphill path to a spectral Banished Knight. Kill him for the Dragon Communion Seal, then loot the Dragonwound Grease on the corpse.
  • Head all the way down while picking up the Grave Glovewort [1] along the way.
  • Kill the Ulcerated Tree Spirit for a Golden Seed, Banished Knight Oleg, and 15,000 runes.
• MISSABLE: Travel to The First Step and read the glowing message at Varre's location to learn the Bravo! gesture.

South Liurnia0/0

• At the bottom of the cliff face southeast of Liurnia Lake Shore lies the entrance to Stillwater Cave:
  • Head inside and grab the Stillwater Cave grace.
  • Pick up the Golden Rune [3] on a ledge just past the grace.
  • Follow the upper section across a gap and through a tunnel that leads to an Operatic Bat that drops a guaranteed Golden Rune [6] (first time).
  • Loot the Sage Set, Serpent Arrow x15, and Golden Rune [5] in the room.
  • Exit the tunnel and drop into the poison for a Golden Rune [4] next to two Miranda Blossoms.
  • Return to the upper section and continue to a corpse with Glowstone x5.
  • Pick up the Poison Grease x2 in the corner opposite the boss entrance.
  • Kill the Cleanrot Knight for Winged Sword Insignia and 3,300 runes.
• Return to Liurnia Lake Shore, head north-northwest and follow the wall on your left to a spiritspring. Use it facing southeast to find an evergaol and kill Adan, Thief of Fire for Flame of the Fell God and 3,800 runes.
• Head west-northwest from the evergaol until you reach a wagon with Ballista Bolt x5 in front.
• Loot the Fire Spur Me gesture, Fire Monks' Prayerbook, and Dappled Cured Meat (in a tent) in the camp down the slope.
• Travel to Laskyar Ruins and explore the ruins just northwest of the grace:
  • Optional: Kill the Revenant spawning in the middle for a Ghost Glovewort [2] (first time).
  • Grab the Smithing Stone [3] beside the stairs to the building with the spires if you haven't already.
  • Pick up the Ritual Pot northeast of the sending gate, then the Golden Rune [3] on the ground behind it.
  • Head down the cellar west of the rune to obtain the Wraith Calling Bell.
• MISSABLE: From the cellar, head north-northwest to a round stone building on your right. Talk to Rya inside and hear her request.
• Head toward the island west of Rya to discover the Scenic Isle grace.
• Optional: Talk to Patches next to the grace. Select "Speaking of" and "Talk".
• On an island west-northwest of Patches, you'll find a basin with the Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear.
• Continue northeast from the island to grab the Boilprawn Shack grace in front of a shack.
• Talk to Blackguard and purchase Rya's Necklace from him.
• MISSABLE: Buy one Boiled Prawn from him to learn the Spread Out gesture. Optionally, select "About Rya" and "Talk".
• Climb the large ruin north of Boilprawn Shack to find a corpse with Rainbow Stone x4 at the top.
• On top of another ruin just west lies a corpse with Tarnished Golden Sunflower x4.
• Go back down the slope of the ruin, then head west-northwest to discover the Fallen Ruins of the Lake grace on a third ruin.
• In the building surrounded by Crayfish south of the grace, you'll find Smithing Stone [2] x3.
• Kill the lone Crayfish west-northwest of the building and it'll turn into a Grafted Scion that drops a Larval Tear.
• Continue west-northwest to an island with a church. Talk to Varre in front, answer that they didn't seem right, then talk to him again for Festering Bloody Finger x5.
  • MISSABLE: If this is the first time you obtain a Festering Bloody Finger, you will also receive About Invasion Multiplayer.
• Pick up Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [12] from the corpse in the church.
• In the water just northwest of the church is a scarab that drops Bloodflame Blade.
• Return to the church, then head west until you reach a building. Inside is a corpse with Smithing Stone [2] x3.
• Pop the balloon south of the building to receive a Golden Rune [6]. You can use any ranged weapon, but I prefer to use throwing knives.
• Head east-southeast from the balloon until you see a large rock jutting from the water. Pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [1] x2 in a chair behind it, guarded by a Giant Crab.
• Southeast of the chair, past the large rocks, is a small building with the Folly on the Lake grace inside.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [2] x2 below a dead tree in the nearby poison swamp.
• On a small island south-southeast of the tree is a scarab that drops Ash of War: Vow of the Indomitable.
• From the island, head west toward a slope with several gibbets. However, continue along the swamp to grab a Smithing Stone [2] between a tree and a rock on the left side.
• Return to the slope with the gibbets to enter the Village of the Albinaurics:
  • Exhaust Nepheli's dialogue on the slope leading up to the village.
  • Enter the village and pick up a Larval Tear behind one of the stone coffins.
  • Activate the Village of the Albinaurics grace inside the small shack.
  • Head up the slope east of the grace and roll through the glowing pot to reveal Albus. Talk to him to receive the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right).
  • Loot the coffin next to Albus to obtain the Ivory Sickle.
  • Cross the upper bridge and kill the Omenkiller for Crucible Knot Talisman and 4,900 runes.
    • Optional: Nepheli's summon sign can be found on the slope overlooking the boss if you exhausted her dialogue under the bridge.
  • At the bottom of the slope past the boss is a Rune Arc.
  • Return to the grace in the village and cross the nearby bridge. Behind a tree on the left is an Albinauric Bloodclot.
  • Next to the edge at the end is a corpse with the Crystal Sword.
• Drop down next to the corpse, then head north up a ledge to find a scarab on the left side cliff edge. Kill it for a Somber Smithing Stone [2].
• Make your way to the tower in the distance west of the cliff edge to grab the Converted Tower grace in front of it.
• MISSABLE: Travel to Roundtable Hold, where Ensha will now attempt to ambush you. Kill him to obtain the Clinging Bone, then pick up the Royal Remains Set outside Gideon's study.
• Talk to Gideon Ofnir about Ensha twice.

  • Kill the Bloodhound Knight for Cerulean Amber Medallion and 3,600 runes.
  • Talk to Latenna outside and show her the secret medallion. Hear her request, then talk to her again to receive Latenna the Albinauric.
  • Activate the Slumbering Wolf's Shack grace and pick up the Rune Arc on the elevated platform.

• Travel to the Converted Tower and go inside to pick up Cuckoo Glintstone x5 from a desk.
• Behind the tower is a corpse with Magic Grease x2.
• Climb the walls surrounding the tower and double jump onto the stairs to get inside. Open the chest at the top to obtain a Memory Stone.
• Head toward the Minor Erdtree northwest of the tower and kill the Erdtree Avatar for Cerulean Crystal Tear, Ruptured Crystal Tear and 5,800 runes.
• In the lower area past the Erdtree, near the cliff, you'll see a downward slope. Kill the scarab on the slope to obtain Ash of War: Sword Dance.
• Continue down the slope to discover the entrance to Road's End Catacombs:
  • Go inside and grab the Road's End Catacombs grace.
  • Pull the boss lever in the first room, then pick up the Grave Glovewort [2] and 2x Grave Glovewort [3] below.
  • Hit the illusory wall next to the second staircase to find a Grave Glovewort [3], Human Bone Shard x5 and the Watchdog's Staff.
  • Pick up Grave Glovewort [2] in an alcove in the corridor ahead.
  • In the room past the corridor, you can find a Grave Glovewort [2] and a Grave Glovewort [3].
  • Hit the illusory wall at the end to discover a chest with the Raya Lucaria Soldier Ashes.
  • Return to the first room and hit the illusory wall next to the first staircase. Inside you'll find a Ghost Glovewort [2] and a Rune Arc.
  • Go through the narrow path to find Root Resin x3, then hit the illusory wall behind it.
  • Pick up the Grave Glovewort [2] at the end, then hit the illusory wall behind it to reveal the boss room.
  • Kill the Spiritcaller Snail for Glintstone Sorcerer Ashes and 3,000 runes.
• Exit the catacombs, then at the top of the slope, head north-northeast toward a shack. Quickly grab the Revenger's Shack grace in front of it as you get invaded.
• MISSABLE: Kill Edgar for a Shabriri Grape, Banished Knight's Halberd+8, and Raw Meat Dumpling x5.
  • Note: You can remove the ash of war from his weapon to obtain Ash of War: Spinning Strikes.
• Grab the 5x Raw Meat Dumpling inside the Revenger's Shack; they only spawn if Edgar invades.
• Kill Bols, Carian Knight in the evergaol past the shack for Greatblade Phalanx and 4,600 runes.

• In the upper part of the camp, to the left of a Pumpkin Head, are two chests you can loot for Albinauric Bloodclot x6 and Smithing Stone [4].
• Follow the path in the woods south-southeast of the chests to a fork, then follow the east path all the way up to The Four Belfries grace at the top.
• Loot the chest near the grace to obtain an Imbued Sword Key.
• Requires 1 Imbued Sword Key: Unlock the imp-sealed belfry marked by the message "Precipice of Anticipation":
  • Use the sending gate and kill the Grafted Scion for Ornamental Straight Sword, Golden Beast Crest Shield, and 3,200 runes.
  • Continue to the chapel where you first started out and go through the previously closed side entrance to pick up The Stormhawk King.
  • Loot the chest in the chapel to obtain Stormhawk Deenh.
• Return to Foot of the Four Belfries and head past the camp to encounter a caravan with the Carian Knight's Sword.
• Head east from the camp's exit to find a chair with a Somber Smithing Stone [3].
• In front of a wagon below the cliff lies a corpse with Throwing Dagger x6.
• Head southeast from the wagon to find a cemetery with 2x Golden Rune [1], 3x Golden Rune [2], 5x Golden Rune [3], 2x Golden Rune [4], and a Golden Rune [5].
• Pop the balloon northeast of the cemetery to receive a Golden Rune [6].
• Continue toward the island and grab the Sorcerer's Isle grace on a ledge by the water.
• Examine the book in front of Testu's Rise to activate the three beasts:
  • #1: At the cliff edge just north of the book. [Location 1]
  • #2: Hanging onto the back of a tree behind the tower. Use a ranged weapon or throwing knife. [Location 2]
  • #3: Found below the edge to the right of the tower when facing the entrance. [Location 3]
• Loot the chest at the top of the tower to obtain a Memory Stone.
• Pop the four balloons on the side of the island for 4x Golden Rune [6].
• Underneath the large ruin behind the island lies a corpse with Old Fang x2, surrounded by Land Squirts.
• East of the ruin lies a campsite with Lump of Flesh.
• From the campsite, head northwest to some ruins with Soporific Grease x3 in between.
• Up a short cliff northwest of the ruins, on a ledge in the corner of the area, you'll find a basin with the Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear.
• Optional: Kill the large Fingercreeper burrowed in the ground near the basin for a Somber Smithing Stone [2] (first time).
• Head east-southeast from the basin until you see a chair on your left with a Somber Smithing Stone [4].
• Continue east to discover The Ravine grace in front of a ravine.
• Go through the ravine to find a Golden Seed at the other side.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [5] in a shack, then grab the Ravine-Veiled Village grace behind it.
• In the water just northwest of the grace is a scarab that drops Ash of War: Barbaric Roar.
• Travel to Road to the Manor, then turn around to explore Kingsrealm Ruins:
  • Pick up the Rimed Crystal Bud x8 in the tower southwest of the grace.
  • In the lower part of the ruins, you can find a corpse with Glintstone Firefly x4.
  • Roll through the hidden cellar just north-northeast of the corpse and kill the Royal Revenant for 3,100 runes.
    • Note: As with any Revenant, attempting to heal the boss will instead deal significant damage, making the fight laughably easy.
  • Loot the chest past the boss to obtain the Frozen Needle.
• Return to the grace, then head up the north-northwest slope to a cemetery with Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], 4x Golden Rune [3], Golden Rune [4], and a Golden Rune [5].
• Approach Caria Manor while dodging the enchanted snare to grab the Main Caria Manor Gate grace outside the entrance.
• Kill the invisible scarab in the pond east-southeast of the manor gate to obtain Ash of War: Hoarfrost Stomp.
• Cross the bridge-like rock that extends past the cliff, then go up the slope on the other side to find the Nomadic Merchant (North Liurnia).
• Continue up the slope to a church. Grab the Bellum Church grace and the Sacred Tear in front of a statue.

• From Bellum Church, pass time until nightfall, then head southeast to a large ruin. Behind it is a corpse with Sanctuary Stone x3.
• Kill the Night's Cavalry on the southwest road for Ash of War: Giant Hunt, Nightrider Glaive, and 5,600 runes.
• Continue southwest along the road to discover the East Raya Lucaria Gate grace on the right side.

  • Drop down to the left of the lift to discover a path that leads to a Somber Smithing Stone [2] on a wall.
  • Drop to the narrow ledge directly below for a Somber Smithing Stone [3].
  • Pick up the Smithing Stone [2] next to a miner on the wooden platform below.
  • Go across the wooden beam to find 2x Smithing Stone [3] and a Smithing Stone [2] near a shortcut lift.
  • Enter the first room with a wooden doorway for a corpse with Smithing Stone [1] x3 and a Smithing Stone [2] beside it.
  • In the second room with a wooden doorway is a chest containing the Crystal Knife.

• When entering the graveyard, head left to find a corpse with Grace Mimic x3 at the edge.
• Drop down east of the corpse to pick up Spellproof Dried Liver next to some gravestones.
• Head toward the tree southeast of the gravestones and follow the ledge in the cliff to a Smithing Stone [4].
• After crossing the bridge, drop toward the left side and follow the ledge up to a corpse with Marionette Soldier Ashes.
• Pick up the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot below the ledge.
• Go up the slanted gravestones at the left-side cliff, then pick up the Golden Rune [4] immediately after dropping down.
• Kill the scarab on the slope for Ash of War: Spectral Lance, then continue southeast to find Mushroom x5 between some gravestones at the top.
• Next to a tree before the doorway that leads to the next area, you'll find a corpse with Magic Grease x2.
• Drop down the cliff west-southwest of the tree to pick up the Carian Knight Set in front of a gravestone.
• Follow the ledge to a Golden Rune [4] next to the brick wall at the end.
• Return to the graveyard. Kill the Alabaster Lord past the waterwheel for Gravity Well, then pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [3] on the shrine.
• Ride the waterwheel up, then jump off midway to discover an alcove with Crystal Dart x5.
• Go up the stairs to grab the Schoolhouse Classroom grace in advance.
• Head back out and up the slope for a Golden Rune [4] near the top of the wheel.
• Ride the waterwheel down while facing north, then jump to the first available ledge to pick up a Golden Rune [3] and Avionette Soldier Ashes.
• Ride the wheel until you fall off, then pick up Smithing Stone [5] from the corpse where you land.
• Climb the crystals near the corpse to pick up Lost Ashes of War at the end of a cliff.
• Drop back down and loot the Longtail Cat Talisman next to the rubble of crystals behind an Abductor Virgin.
  • Note: If you died to its grab attack, follow the tunnel past the lava until you reach a site of grace. After resting, you should be able to return to the academy.
• Return to the Schoolhouse Classroom and turn left in the hallway for a corpse with Conspectus Scroll and a chest with Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [5].
• Hit the illusory wall behind the corpse to reveal a balcony with a Smithing Stone [4].
• Jump over the balcony and follow the lower ledge to some lilies. Climb the rocky ledge and jump over the gap to a corpse with Olivinus Glintstone Crown.
• Return to the hallway and continue to a room with several sorcerers. Open the chest in the room to obtain a Ritual Pot.
• Go up the stairs and pick up the Furlcalling Finger Remedy on the balcony.
• Hit the illusory wall on the left up the second set of stairs to reveal a room with Comet and a Stonesword Key.
• Climb the ladder in the room, then drop down the holes to a room with the Graven-School Talisman in front of some crystals.
• 🏆 Open the shortcut door back, then kill the Red Wolf of Radagon for Memory Stone and 14,000 runes.
• Activate the Debate Parlor grace and pass time until nightfall.
• Head into the courtyard and pick up the Stonesword Key on the fountain.
• Just north past the fountain lies a corpse with Glintstone Firefly x5.
• Around the corner northwest of the corpse, you'll find a Golden Rune [2] guarded by a Giant Crab.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [4] behind the nearby tower, then the Golden Seed near the cliff.
• Head around the southwest corner to find a Glintstone Crab that drops Karolos Glintstone Crown.
• Return to the courtyard and ascend the large curved staircase, picking up a Furlcalling Finger Remedy while dodging the boulder.
• Kill Moongrum, Carian Knight for Carian Knight's Shield. Behind him is the lift to the boss, so avoid that for now.
• Follow the south-southwest path through a covered walkway to open a shortcut back to the courtyard, then return the way you came to find a Golden Rune [4].
• Jump over the balustrade near the corpse to reach a room with a ladder. Open the shortcut door first, then climb up and kill the sorcerers who summon the boulder.
• Open the chest in the room to obtain the Glintstone Scarab.
• Head out the balcony and pick up the Golden Rune [7] on the roof below it.
• Confirm that it's still nighttime, then use the sending gate below and kill the Bell Bearing Hunter in Church of Vows for Meat Peddler's Bell Bearing and 6,000 runes.
• Optional: Reload the area and talk to Miriel. Show him the Celestial Dew, then select "Talk". If you've killed or aggro'ed any NPCs, you can cleanse your sins at the statue. Any previously hostile NPCs will then become friendly again.
• Return to Debate Parlor, but turn right when entering the courtyard. Jump over the balustrade to discover a ladder and climb it to a broken window. Head left once inside to pick up Crystal Bud x5.
• Loot the chest on the opposite side for Radagon Icon, then pick up the Golden Rune [4] on the outside balcony.
• Drop down the east side of the balcony to pick up Living Jar Shard x3 and a Cracked Pot.
• Head down the stairs, then up the stairs covered in rubble. In the room straight ahead is a corpse with Glintstone Whetblade.
• Up the stairs opposite the room, you'll find a Golden Rune [2].
• Go up the stairs next to the room, then jump over the west balustrade. Open the shortcut down the stairs, then go back up to grab a Golden Rune [3] at the end.
• Jump onto the rooftops below and continue to a ladder. Pick up the Golden Rune [4] on the ledge around it.
• Climb the ladder and pick up Crystal Dart x5 from a corpse on the bridge.
• Behind the structure at the end of the bridge lies a corpse with Meteor Bolt x5.
• Drop to the rooftop below, then once more to a second rooftop. From there, you're gonna do a long jump, so make sure to hold the sprint button during the entire jump for the longest distance. While facing west-northwest, jump across the long gap to the rooftop ahead.
• After jumping the gap, head down the south rooftops until you reach a tower. Climb the ladder inside to a chest with the Full Moon Crossbow.
• Jump over the west balustrade to land on a rooftop. From there, you can drop onto two rooftops, so drop to the one with a Smithing Stone [4] on top.
• Drop to the rooftop where you made the long jump. Do it once more, then follow the west rooftop to a tower. Drop down twice inside the tower to find a Glintstone Crab that drops the Lazuli Glintstone Crown.
• Drop to the bottom to pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [4].
• Travel to Debate Parlor and return to the rooftop where you made the long jumps. This time, drop down the north rooftops instead to pick up the Golden Rune [4] on a roof past the stretch with two Marionette Soldiers.
• Drop to the ledge east below where the first Marionette Soldier was and pick up the Imbued Sword Key in a tower.
• Go around the ledge of the second tower to find a corpse with Smithing Stone [3] x2.
• Head back across until you see the top of a ladder, then jump onto the large rooftop below. At the northwest end of it is a corpse with Magic Grease x2.
• Go through the church windows and pick up the Golden Rune [3] on the rafters.
• Carefully drop to the southernmost chandelier to grab the Academy Glintstone Key.
• Drop to the small bridge below and head out the balcony to find a Glintstone Crab in the corner that drops the Twinsage Glintstone Crown.
• Go across the small bridge, kick down the shortcut ladder, and pick up Shattering Crystal at the end of the corridor.
• Head through the covered walkway across the other bridge to pick up Azur's Glintstone Staff in front of the graven mass.
• Travel to Debate Parlor and return to the large curved staircase. At the bottom of it is a Smithing Stone [5].
• Pick up Crystal Dart x8 from the broken buttress attached to the side of the staircase.
• 🏆 Ride the lift to the boss and defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon for Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen, Great Rune of the Unborn, and 40,000 runes.
• Activate the Raya Lucaria Grand Library grace and talk to Rennala. Select "Cosmetics", then "Finish Cosmetics" to learn the Balled Up gesture.
• Return to Thops in Church of Irith and give him your second glintstone key to learn the Erudition gesture. Optionally, talk to him about Sellen.
• Reload the area to find a scarab in the church that drops Ash of War: Thops's Barrier.
• Travel to Schoolhouse Classroom and go outside to find Thops at a table. Loot Thops's Bell Bearing, Academy Glintstone Staff, and Thops's Barrier from his corpse.
• Talk to Enia in Roundtable Hold to receive a Talisman Pouch. Optionally, talk to her about Queen Marika.
• Optional: Speak with Corhyn and select "Talk" now that you've obtained two Great Runes.

• Travel to Liurnia Lake Shore and head east to a spiritspring. Use it while facing east-northeast, then grab the Liurnia Highway South grace by the road.
• Follow the road southeast until you reach a carriage at the end. Loot Treespear from the chest in front.
• Return to Liurnia Highway South and pop the two balloons near the grace for 2x Golden Rune [6].
• Follow the road to some ruins and pick up Stormhawk Feather x3 from a corpse between them.
• Northwest of the corpse lies Purified Ruins:
  • Pick up Cuckoo Glintstone x4 from a corpse in the ruined building.
  • Loot the Shabriri Grape and Two Fingers Heirloom in the cellar covered with breakable planks in the ruined building.
  • In front of some barrels west of the cellar, you'll find a Golden Rune [3].
  • Talk to Hyetta by the ruins near the shore and give her a Shabriri Grape.
  • Pick up Mushroom x5 from the corner of the ruins north-northeast of Hyetta.
• Return to the road and grab the Liurnia Highway North grace before a battlefield.
• On top of the ruin north-northeast of the grace is a corpse with Beast Blood, guarded by wolves.

• Go up the slope until you find the entrance to Cliffbottom Catacombs on the left side:
  • Enter and activate the Cliffbottom Catacombs grace.
  • Ride the lift down while facing east, then jump to a ledge with Grave Glovewort [2].
  • Pick up Root Resin x5 from the first room.
  • Continue until you reach a corridor with a Grave Glovewort [2].
  • Go down the stairs and continue to a room with a Grave Glovewort [3] beneath the floor.
  • Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal on the second floor to pick up Nox Mirrorhelm.
  • In front of some bookshelves beneath the floor is a Rune Arc.
  • Pick up Grave Glovewort [2] from the top floor room, then pick up Scythe from the room at the end.
  • Before dropping down, loot the Golden Rune [3] and Grave Glovewort [3] in the left passage.
  • Drop onto the staircase, then once more to the bottom for a Ghost Glovewort [3] in the middle.
  • Loot the 2x Grave Glovewort [3], Hefty Beast Bone x3, and Prattling Pate "Wonderful" around the room.
  • Continue ahead to find a Grave Glovewort [2] in the corridor.
  • Climb the ladder at the end and pick up Page Ashes from the altar on the left.
  • Pull the boss lever, then turn around to find Old Fang x3 in the corner.
  • Kill the Erdtree Burial Watchdog for Kaiden Sellsword Ashes and 3,200 runes.
• Travel to Liurnia Highway North and head up the northwest slope. Pick up a Golden Rune [4] from the camp outside the tower.
• Loot the chest in the tower for Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [3], then pick up the Carian Glintblade Staff at the top.
• Return to Liurnia Highway North, pass time until nightfall, then loot the Lucerne, Golden Rune [3], Golden Rune [6], and Crystal Dart x5 around the battlefield.
• Kill the Night's Cavalry patrolling the road past the battlefield for Ash of War: Ice Spear and 5,600 runes.
• Continue following the road until you reach the Gate Town Bridge grace at the end.
• Talk to Hyetta near the grace, give her a Shabriri Grape, and answer that they're human eyes. Reload the area, then exhaust her dialogue.
• Pick up the Sliver of Meat guarded by a Runebear south of the grace.
• Continue south toward a building in the lake and grab the Smithing Stone [2] x3 inside.
• Pop the balloon in the lake north-northwest of the building for a Golden Rune [6].
• Under the broken bridge east of the balloon is a corpse with Strip of White Flesh x3.
• Just northwest of the bridge, you'll discover a campsite with Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot x3.
• From the campsite, head north along the cliff wall until you see a gravestone near several Land Squirts. Pick up the Land Squirt Ashes beside it.
• Return to Gate Town Bridge and head east toward a spiritspring. Just south of it is an exploding scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [2].
• Use the spiritspring while facing north to find an astrolabe with Starlight Shards at the edge.
• Kill the Tibia Mariner in the pond north of the astrolabe for Deathroot, Skeletal Bandit Ashes, and 4,700 runes.
  • Optional: D, Hunter of the Dead's summon sign can be found on the slope that leads to the pond.
• Loot the Trina's Lily and Smithing Stone [3] in the pond.
• Follow the dirt path past the pond and pick up Great Dragonfly Head x5 from a graveyard on the right.
• Kill the Leyndell Knight patrolling the path to obtain Dragon Cult Prayerbook (first time).
• Grab the Artist's Shack grace at the top of the slope, then interact with the painting in the shack to get the "Resurrection" Painting.
• Just northeast of the grace is a chair with a Smithing Stone [4].
• Cross the rock extending past the cliff near the shack. Kill the lone thorn sorcerer to the left of the camp to obtain Briars of Sin (first time).
• Loot Flame, Cleanse Me and Smoldering Butterfly x8 (behind a tent) from the nearby camp.
• Behind a tree northeast of the camp, you'll discover the Eastern Tableland grace.
• Ride into the woods northwest of the grace to find Immunizing White Cured Meat next to a wagon on the road.
• Continue along the path until you reach Uld Palace Ruins, where an Ancestral Follower will be shooting at you from a bridge. Make your way onto the bridge by going under it, then cross it to discover the Ruined Labyrinth grace.
• At the edge east-southeast of the grace sits a corpse with Frenzyflame Stone.
• Take down the Wandering Mausoleum in the area past the grace by hitting away at the skull formations on its feet.
• On a ledge south of the pond is a corpse holding the Spiralhorn Shield.
• From the ledge, head west until you reach the edge, then drop down to pick up Arteria Leaf x3 from a chair in a patch of flowers.
• Go up the nearby slope, then once you see the mausoleum, head north to find a scarab, hidden in bushes near the back corner, that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [2].
• From the top of the slope, go south until you reach the edge, then look left to find an opening in the tall rock. Go through it to find the Stalwart Horn Charm on the ledge.
• Drop down from the ledge and go up the slope with statues to grab the Mausoleum Compound grace behind a statue.
• Take down the second Wandering Mausoleum by hitting the formations around its feet.
• Kill the Erdtree Avatar east of the mausoleum for Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, and 5,800 runes.
• Drop down the far-left edge of the cliff past the Erdtree, then head up the slope until you reach the entrance to Black Knife Catacombs:
  • Go inside and activate the Black Knife Catacombs grace.
  • Pick up a Grave Glovewort [2] next to the boss door room.
  • Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal to pick up the Rosus' Axe.
  • Grab the Grave Glovewort [2] in front of some rubble before the cleaver room.
  • Loot Spellproof Dried Liver from a corpse in front of a cleaver, then ride the cleaver up to a ledge with a Grave Glovewort [4].
  • Continue to a dead end and pick up the Grave Glovewort [3] in front of a hole, but don't drop down yet.
  • Hit the illusory wall at the end to reveal a corridor with a Grave Glovewort [4] and a boss.
  • Kill the Black Knife Assassin for Assassin's Cerulean Dagger, Black Knifeprint, and 4,200 runes.
    • Optional: D, Hunter of the Dead's summon sign can be found at the entrance.
  • Drop down the earlier hole, pull the boss lever behind you, then pick up the Ghost Glovewort [3].
  • Pull the second lever and loot the 2x Grave Glovewort [2], Grave Glovewort [3] and Rune Arc in the room.
  • Climb the ladder in the room to a Grave Glovewort [3] in front of a coffin.
  • Kill the Cemetery Shade for Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes and 3,500 runes.
  • Open the chest at the end to obtain a Deathroot.
• Travel to the East Raya Lucaria Gate and head up the slope east-northeast of the grace to reach a campsite with Slumbering Egg x2.
• Ride down the ruin below the cliff, then head north-northeast to find a chair with a Rune Arc.
• At the cliff northwest of the chair, you'll find another Rune Arc.
• Enter the camp and pick up the Cuckoo Glintstone x3 next to a spiked barricade near the left-side catapult.
• Loot the chest at the other side of the camp to obtain the Great Mace.
• Head toward the massive staircase past the camp, then into the small woods on the left to find a scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [3].
• Pick up the Dragonwound Grease on the massive staircase, then grab the Grand Lift of Dectus grace inside.
• Optional: Talk to Melina at the Grand Lift of Dectus grace.
• Head back down the stairs, then up the south-southeast slope toward a tower that inflicts madness buildup. Loot the Smithing Stone [2] x2, Yellow Ember, and Golden Rune [3] on the slope.
• Continue up the slope to find a corpse with Burred Bolt x5 on a long slanted rock.
• Climb the tower for a chest containing the Howl of Shabriri, then kill the Frenzied Villagers at the top to extinguish the frenzy flame.
• From the tower, head south-southeast to discover the Frenzied Flame Village Outskirts grace behind a ledge.
• Enter the tower east of the grace, equip any glintstone crown found in the academy, then use the Erudition gesture in front of the statue to unlock the seal. Loot the chest at the top for Cannon of Haima and Gavel of Haima.
• Ride the lift back down and jump over the balcony to access an area behind the tower, where you can pick up Crystal Dart x3.
• Return to the Frenzied Flame Village Outskirts and enter the village southwest of the grace:
  • In a corner immediately on the left, you'll find Note: The Lord of Frenzied Flame.
  • Pick up Frenzied's Cookbook [1] from the open house in the middle.
  • On the porch surrounded by a group of frenzied soldiers, you can find Shabriri's Woe.
  • Go up the slope at the end of the village, then jump onto the southwest village rampart to find a Stonesword Key.
  • Drop down the outer side of the rampart to pick up Eye of Yelough x3 from a corpse guarded by rats.
• Follow the outer side of the rampart until you reach the village entrance, then go southeast toward a field with Eye of Yelough and Frenzyflame Stone in some chairs.
• Return to the slope at the top of the village, then where the path splits, go downhill for a scarab that drops Frenzied Burst.
• Continue downhill to find a cemetery with Golden Rune [1], Golden Rune [2], 4x Golden Rune [3], Golden Rune [4], and a Golden Rune [7].
• Head back up the slope, then continue to the top to be invaded by Festering Fingerprint Vyke. Kill him to obtain a Fingerprint Grape and Vyke's War Spear.
• Grab the Church of Inhibition grace at the top, then loot the Sacred Tear and Finger Maiden Set in the church.
• Talk to Hyetta in Bellum Church and give her the Fingerprint Grape.
• Travel to Bestial Sanctum and feed Gurranq the two Deathroots to receive Ash of War: Beast's Roar and Bestial Vitality.
• After reloading the area, Gurranq will enter a frenzy. Hit him a few times to snap him out of it, then talk to him (or rest at the grace if you can't).
• Give Rogier the Black Knifeprint, then talk to him after reloading the area. Optionally, talk to him about Ranni's whereabouts, why he wants a cursemark, and about D.
• MISSABLE: By now, you should have enough Grave Gloveworts to upgrade any regular spirit ash to +4 with Roderika; afterward, select "Talk" to learn the Curtsy gesture.
• Optional: After learning the gesture, talk to Hewg about Roderika.
• MISSABLE: Let Fia hold you, then talk to her about Rogier to receive a Sacrificial Twig.

• Enter the manor and pick up the Rimed Crystal Bud x5 guarded by a Fingercreeper in the grass immediately to the left of the stone path.

• Go up the nearby stairs and into a small room with Glintstone Craftsman's Cookbook [6].
• Exit the room and continue to a fork. Follow the path straight ahead to find a Somber Smithing Stone [3] at the end of an alley.
• Go back and follow the other path to a hole in the battlement. Drop down and head north-northwest toward a scarab that drops Carian Piercer.
• A corpse with the Ice Crest Shield lies on the ledge near the scarab.
• From the ledge, go around the northwest corner, then turn west to find a corpse with Rimed Crystal Bud x2 in the grassy area to the left of the path.
• Behind a crystal just south of the corpse, you can find Glintstone Firefly x6, guarded by two large Fingercreepers.
• Return to the path and follow it to the manor entrance. Grab the Manor Lower Level grace up the stairs.
• Look behind the altar in the room with the grace to find a Smithing Stone [4].
• Head along the bridge, then once the path splits, cross the northeast bridge to find a Rune Arc behind the tower at the end.
• Jump onto the rooftops below the tower, then descend a ladder to discover a chest containing the Sword of Night and Flame.
• Open the shortcut door, then return to the grace and cross the bridges until you reach a set of stairs. Jump onto the wooden ledge below to pick up Rimed Crystal Bud x8.
• Below the northeast staircase is a Golden Rune [3].
• Head along the other side of the rampart to find a corpse with Urumi in front of the battlement.
• Drop down the wooden platforms at the end of the rampart to find a Somber Smithing Stone [3] on the broken battlement.
• Return to the Manor Lower Level and the stairs at the end. Take the lift up and activate the Manor Upper Level grace.
• Step into the garden for a Golden Seed and a corpse with Rimed Crystal Bud x3 in front of a tree.
• Climb the ladder on the left after going up the stairs to find a corpse with Magic Grease x2 hanging off the edge.
• Kill the Troll Knight below to receive a guaranteed Troll Knight's Sword (first time).
• Head across the top of the walls next to the troll, then drop down at the end for a Smithing Stone [4].
• Pick up the Rimed Crystal Bud x5 guarded by a Page on the left staircase.
• Hanging off the midsection between the stairs is a Golden Rune [4].

• In front of a gravestone east-southeast of the grace is a Grave Glovewort [1].
• Pick up the 2x Grave Glovewort [2] near the group of gravestones southwest of the first.
• Head below the large slanted rock to find a Grave Glovewort [1] near some gravestones on the left.
• Climb the slanted rock to pick up Thawfrost Boluses from the edge.
• Enter the evergaol east-northeast of the rock and kill the Onyx Lord for Meteorite and 3,600 runes.
• From the evergoal, head south-southwest to pick up a Golden Rune [3] from the pack of wolves.
• Behind a tree with yellow leaves west-northwest from the pack of wolves, you'll find a Grave Glovewort [2].
• Follow the west-southwest path for a Grave Glovewort [1] on the left, then pick up the Albinauric Ashes at the end of the path.
• Just northeast of the ashes, you'll see an item pickup with the Juvenile Scholar Set and a Larval Tear (painting reward).
• Return to Royal Moongazing Grounds, then from the boss exit, head west-southwest toward a ruin with a scarab that drops Ash of War: Chilling Mist.
• Optional: Fight Adula southwest of the ruins; it will flee once you deal about half its HP.
• Enter the tower past the dragon and grab the Ranni's Rise grace.
• Exhaust Ranni's dialogue at the top of the tower until she tells you to leave.
• Return to Rogier and tell him that Ranni cast off her cursemark.
• Talk to Ranni, ask to enter her service, then greet her other vassals in the tower:

• Loot the chest at the top of Seluvis's Rise to obtain a Memory Stone.
• You'll now have to decide who to give the potion to:
  • Give the potion to Nepheli:
    • Note: Turns her into a puppet, preventing completion of her, Gostoc's, and Kenneth Haight's questlines.
    • MISSABLE: After receiving the Carian Inverted Statue from Ranni, Pidia will die and drop the Nepheli Loux Puppet.
  • Give the potion to Dung Eater:
    • Note: Turns him into a puppet, failing his questline and locking you out of the Blessing of Despair ending (not required for all achievements).
    • Progress Dung Eater's questline up until you can administer the potion, then give it to him. [See quest]
    • MISSABLE: Kill him after giving him the potion to obtain the Omen Set, but do it before reloading the area as that will despawn him.
    • MISSABLE: Progress Seluvis's questline up until you can buy puppets from him, then purchase the Dung Eater Puppet.
  • Give the potion to Gideon Ofnir:
    • You can progress everyone's questlines, but you'll miss out on either puppet until your next playthrough.
• Talk to Nepheli and either give her Seluvis's Potion or the Stormhawk King that continues her questline.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal near Nepheli for a chest with Crepus's Black-Key Crossbow and Black-Key Bolt x20.
• Requires 2 Stonesword Keys: Unlock the second imp seal for a chest with Assassin's Prayerbook.
• Speak with Rogier and select "Talk" to hear that his condition is worsening. Reload the area and talk to him in his unresponsive state, then reload the area three more times to find him dead. Loot Rogier's Bell Bearing and the Spellblade's Set from his corpse.
  • Note: He'll also drop Rogier's Letter if you talked to him about D, and Rogier's Rapier+8 if you didn't get it earlier.
• If you didn't give the potion to Nepheli, and don't plan to give it to Dung Eater, give it to Gideon Ofnir now to safely progress everyone's questlines.
  • Note: Skip the Seluvis steps below if you're giving the potion to Dung Eater. You can't do them until you're rid of the potion, and Seluvis must remain alive until then.
• Head down the hidden cellar in the ruins northeast of Ranni's Rise and interact with the message that reads: "Seluvis' Puppet. Do not touch".
• Talk to Seluvis about his chambers to receive a puppet for free. Optionally, talk to him about Nepheli if you gave the potion to Gideon Ofnir or Dung Eater.
• Quit and reload your game twice to unlock the next dialogue option, then talk to Seluvis and select "I want a new puppet".
• Buy one puppet, then talk to Seluvis about the scheme and respond that you're interested.
• Drop onto the rooftop below the cliff northeast of Seluvis's Rise and continue down to a ladder. Climb down to find a Spellproof Dried Liver.
• Exhaust Pidia's dialogue in the room to access his inventory.
• Go back up the ladder to find a corpse with Old Fang x5 on the roof.
• Drop down to the rampart below the southwest edge and follow it to a wooden platform with Slumbering Egg x3.
• Continue down the ramparts to pick up a Stonesword Key guarded by a Giant Crab at the end.
• Optional: Talk to Iji at the Road to the Manor about Nokron and about Blaidd.

• Kill the exploding scarab in a tunnel to obtain a Somber Smithing Stone [4].
• Pick up Soft Cotton from a corpse at the precipice, then grab the Ruin-Strewn Precipice grace.
• Take the lift up, then once you reach a second set of stairs, drop down for a Somber Smithing Stone [4].
• Ascend the ladder ahead, then climb the rocks east of it to find a Somber Smithing Stone [3] at the top of some pillars.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [4] guarded by some bats below.
• Behind some crates near the ladder at the end, you'll find a Smithing Stone [4].
• Go up the ladder up and grab the Golden Rune [5] and Smithing Stone [4] guarded by some bats near the wall.
• Pick up the 2x Smithing Stone [4] farther along the wall, and optionally kill the Operatic Bat next to a ladder for a Golden Rune [6] (first time).
• Climb the ladder, then jump to the ledge of a pillar and go around it to find a Golden Rune [5].
• Continue until you reach another ladder. On the wall behind it is a Smithing Stone [4].
• Climb up, then go west-northwest up another ladder to a roof with a Smithing Stone [3] and the Serpent-God's Curved Sword.
• Return down the ladder while picking up a Smithing Stone [4] in a corner on the way.
• Pick up the Smithing Stone [4] in the wall, then the Smithing Stone [3] under a tent.
• Optional: Kill the two Operatic Bats for 2x Golden Rune [6] (first time).
• At the cliff edge behind the wooden structure is a corpse with Lost Ashes of War.
• Follow the edge to a Rune Arc behind a pillar, then take the lift up to discover the Ruin-Strewn Precipice Overlook grace.
• 🏆 Kill Magma Wyrm Makar for Magma Wyrm's Scalesword, Dragon Heart, and 24,000 runes.
  • MISSABLE: Summon Great Horned Tragoth to learn the Casual Greeting gesture (you can send him home afterward with the Finger Severer).

• Head back and take the other path. Kill the large-bellied ant for a Golden Rune [10] and a Rune Arc.
• Drop onto the stone beam below the cliff at the end to reach a Smithing Stone [4].
• On a ledge below the stone beam is a corpse with a Celestial Dew.
• Drop to the bottom and loot the Smithing Stone [1], Golden Rune [2], and Golden Rune [3] on dry ground.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [1] and Ghost Glovewort [1] in the water.
• Follow the water up some rocks and through a narrow tunnel, then pick up the Smithing Stone [1] x3 on the left-side edge.
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [1] in the water.
• Climb the slanted pillars, then turn around to find a corpse with Smithing Stone [3] x2 at the top of a stone beam.
• Make your way toward the Withered Astel and kill it so that you can freely explore the rest of the area.
• Drop down the ledge below the south corner of the edge and enter the large building to grab the Map: Ainsel River.
• Talk to the Hermit Merchant (Ainsel River) in the building.
• From the building, follow the south wall to a corpse with Smithing Stone [3] x3.
• Just past the nearby pillar lies a Golden Rune [2].

• Follow the river downstream to a Ghost Glovewort [1], then grab the Ainsel River Downstream grace on the ledge next to it.
• Continue to a room with ants and pick up Smithing Stone [2] x3, Immunizing Horn Charm, Formic Rock, and Crystal Dart x5 from the left side of the room.
• Go through the southwest tunnel to find a corpse with Somber Smithing Stone [3] overlooking the lake of rot.
• Pick up Soap x4 from an alcove on the left side when heading back.
• Return to the ant room to pick up the remaining Ghost Glovewort [1] and Ghost Glovewort [2].
• Continue downstream, then turn left to pick up Melted Mushroom x3.
• Pick up a Ghost Glovewort [2] before the tunnel that leads to the boss.
• 🏆 Kill the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella for Frozen Lightning Spear and 12,000 runes.
• Open the chest underneath the massive throne to obtain a Great Ghost Glovewort.

• Use the lift past the staircase from earlier, then go left across a bridge to find a room with Preserving Boluses.
• Below the bridge is a corpse with Beast Liver x3.
• Head upstream and pick up Crab Eggs x3 from a corpse on the left, next to a Giant Crab.
• Continue upstream toward a massive pillar. Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [1] next to it, then climb the bottom of the pillar for a Golden Rune [3].
• Grab the Siofra River Bank grace near a pillar, then light the brazier just east of the grace (1/8).

• From the campsite, turn back and follow the wall on the left until you reach a second brazier to light (2/8).
• On a boulder near the second brazier is a corpse with Lump of Flesh x3.
• From the boulder, head southeast to pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [2] from a small island in the water.
• Ignore the sending gate and head north toward a ledge with a Golden Rune [4].
• Pick up a Ghost Glovewort [2] next to the second massive pillar southeast of the ledge.
• Loot the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot in the water east of the pillar, then the Ghost Glovewort [1] next to the path that leads into the woods.
• Light the brazier on the nearby island in the water (3/8).

• South of the waterfall is a smaller waterfall with a Golden Rune [7] at its base.

• Drop down the north ledge, then cross the flying buttress between two pillars to find a Stonesword Key behind the second pillar.

• From the golden tree, head north-northwest along a ledge to reach a campsite with a Rune Arc.
• Go back and cross the rock bridge to light the brazier immediately on the right (6/8).
• Head northeast from the brazier to find a Golden Rune [4] on a ledge.
• Farther north you'll discover the Below the Well grace.

• From the brazier, go west to find a Golden Rune [3] behind a tree.
• On the path north of the tree, loot the Shield Grease and Golden Rune [2], which is behind a tree next to the path.
• Optional: Head south-southwest from the tree to find Blaidd next to a pillar. Talk to him to unlock dialogue with Seluvis later.
• Use the spiritspring behind Blaidd to reach a Ghost Glovewort [3] on the bridge far above.
• Jump across the gap to find a Stonesword Key at the end of the bridge.
• Descend the gap to a lower part of the bridge, where you'll find Dwelling Arrow x10.
• Return to Blaidd, then head west toward a Golden Rune [4] in front of a large tree.
• Under the staircase southwest of the tree, you can find a corpse with Horn Bow.

• Turn back and loot the Sliver of Meat x3, Gravel Stone, and Golden Rune [5] in the pond.

• Follow the road west to discover the Dragonbarrow West grace behind an arching root.
• Head toward the road just northeast of the grace and follow it to the top, where you'll find a shack with the Isolated Merchant's Shack grace.

  • Go up the stairs and open the chest under a tent to obtain Starscourge Heirloom.
  • Hit the railing at the top of the staircase, then jump to the wooden platform below to grab the gate lever and a corpse with Mushroom x10 down the outer platform.
  • Drop down to the ledge inside the fort to reach a room with the Katar.

• Follow the road past the grace until you see a scarab on the left and kill it for Ash of War: Lifesteal Fist.
• Grab the Astray from Caelid Highway North grace on the hillside with the scarab, near a sword monument.
• East of the grace, you'll find the Nomadic Merchant (North Caelid).
• From the grace, head west into the rot swamp to discover the entrance to Gaol Cave:
  • Requires 2 Stonesword Keys: Grab the Gaol Cave grace and open the chest for a Rune Arc.
  • Pick up a Golden Rune [2] from the first room.
  • Continue until the floor collapses, then proceed the only way forward until you find a Golden Rune [4] and Turtle Neck Meat x2 guarded by rats.

• Kill the teleporting scarab north of the tower to obtain Ash of War: Double Slash.
• Return to the large staircase and pick up the Golden Seed at the top.
• Climb the tower near the golden tree and light the final brazier to unlock all sealed barriers (3/3).
• Pick up the Staff of Loss from a balcony near the tower, then open the chest below it for the Spelldrake Talisman +1.
• At the top of the stairs near the grace, you'll find a chest with Night Comet.
• Just east of the stairs is another staircase with Poison Grease x2 at the top.
• Destroy the wagon left of the staircase to uncover a path to a chest with an Imbued Sword Key in the back of the town.
• Return to the large staircase, head northwest toward a tall doorway, and kill the Nox Swordstress & Nox Monk for Nox Flowing Sword and 6,400 runes.
• Activate the Chair-Crypt of Sellia grace after the fight, and loot the chest in the back for Lusat's Glintstone Staff.
• Go through the doorway at the top of the large staircase to discover the Sellia Backstreets grace.
• Head up the slope until you reach a church. Grab the Church of the Plague grace and the Sacred Tear in front of the statue.
• Talk to Millicent and give her the repaired needle. Reload the area, then talk to her to receive the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom.
  • Note: She won't invade anymore after you give her the needle, so make sure you've dealt with her invasion first.
• Exit the church and head down the west slope while tightly hugging the wall on the left until you reach the edge. On a ledge below is a corpse with Drawstring Poison Grease x3.
• Optional: Return to the path and kill the five Operatic Bats around the area for 5x Golden Rune [9] (first time).
• Pick up a Golden Rune [5] from the fallen pillar.
• Follow the path toward the top of a large gate and pick up the Black-Key Bolt x20 and Golden Rune [4] on it.
• Head toward the lookout tower past the gate and pick up Eternal Darkness from the cell inside, guarded by a Bloodhound Knight.
• Return to Church of the Plague and head east-northeast toward an astrolabe with Starlight Shards by the cliff.
• Use the spiritspring north of the church while facing west, and loot the 2x Smithing Stone [7], Stonesword Key, and Smithing Stone [8] on top of the large rock.
• Head toward the fort east of the rock and grab the Fort Faroth grace behind the smoldering wall.
• Optional: Kill the Operatic Bat on a lower ledge behind the fort for a Golden Rune [9] (first time).
• Return to the grace and enter Fort Faroth:
  • Optional: Kill the three Operatic Bats for 3x Golden Rune [9] (first time), or simply run past them and head straight for the ladder.
  • Climb the ladder and open the chest at the top to obtain Dectus Medallion (Right).
  • Drop to the rooftop below, then turn right to find a corpse with Neutralizing Boluses x2 behind some breakable crates.
  • Descend the ladder in the hole at the opposite end of the rooftop for a Golden Rune [12].
  • Jump to the nearby upper ledge and descend the ladder at the end to a corpse with Radagon's Soreseal.
• Return to the grace and kill Elder Dragon Greyoll by slaying five of the seven juveniles at half HP around her. Once she dies, you'll receive Dragon Heart x5 and 74,290 runes.

• Note: If you've triggered the festival, the castle will be locked down. Use the sending gate near the Impassable Greatbridge and start from #29.
• Travel to Impassable Greatbridge and head toward the wooden tower past the bridge. Behind it is a Smithing Stone [3].
• Go up the slope to the castle, then drop onto the wooden tower for a Smithing Stone [6] on a ledge down a ladder.
• From the top of the tower, jump to a lower ledge and follow the cliff to a graveyard with a scarab that drops Ash of War: Flaming Strike.
• Pick up the Smoldering Butterfly x8 next to some gravestones, and optionally kill the Operatic Bat for a Golden Rune [9] (first time).
• Climb the ladder in the graveyard to enter the castle. Follow the rampart to another ladder and enter the room below to open a shortcut back to the graveyard.
• Loot the Smithing Stone [5] and Armorer's Cookbook [5] in the room with the shortcut.
• Kill the two Elder Lions in the courtyard for 2x Somber Smithing Stone [4], 2x Beast Blood, and 2x Old Fang x2.
• Enter the room in the courtyard to pick up Armorer's Cookbook [4] behind a barrel.
• Loot the Smithing Stone [4] from the pile of corpses in the courtyard, then the Golden Rune [6] in a wooden structure.
• At the top of the stairs past some spiked barricades, turn right for a room with a ladder that leads to the Flamberge and a Smithing Stone [3].
• Climb a second ladder to find a Smithing Stone [5] at the top of a tower.
• Head back and grab the Chamber Outside the Plaza grace in a room on the right past the barricades and flamespitters.
• Go up the staircase west of the flamespitters to find a Smithing Stone [4].
• Enter the room near a dead tree to pick up the Red-Hot Whetblade.
• Go up the stairs in the room and follow the rampart to a chest with a Smithing Stone [6].
• Return to the grace and kill the Misbegotten Warrior & Crucible Knight for Ruins Greatsword and 16,000 runes.
• Grab the Redmane Castle Plaza grace after the fight.
• Go up the stairs and pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [5] to the left of a large astrolabe.
• You'll now have three ways to initialize the Radahn festival:

  • Simply activating a site of grace in Altus Plateau will also initialize the festival.
• Travel to Redmane Castle Plaza and the festival should now have started:
  • MISSABLE: Talk to Therolina to learn the Polite Bow gesture.
  • Optional: Talk to Blaidd and Alexander.
  • MISSABLE: Talk to Jerren and answer "Ready as I'll ever be". Exhaust his dialogue after the cutscene to learn the Heartening Cry gesture.
    • Note: If missed, you can repeat the step by quickly traveling to Roundtable Hold and back.
• Head through the throne room to find a Smithing Stone [6] next to an altar.
• 🏆 Take the lift down and kill Starscourge Radahn for Radahn's Great Rune, Remembrance of the Starscourge, and 70,000 runes.
  • MISSABLE: This is your second of three chances to summon Great Horned Tragoth for the Casual Greeting gesture.
• Talk to Blaidd on a dune and grab the Starscourge Radahn grace next to him.
• Exhaust Alexander's dialogue near the grace.
• Pick up Radahn's Spear x20 from three corpses scattered around the dunes west of the grace.
• Return to Jerren in the throne room and exhaust his dialogue.
• Purchase Radahn's Lion Armor from Enia (for a gesture later).
• Let Fia hold you and select "May I ask a favor?" to receive the Weathered Dagger.
• Give the dagger to D, Hunter of the Dead, then reload the area. Talk to Fia in a new room in the east wing and loot D's Bell Bearing and the Twinned Set from D's corpse.
  • Note: Do not sell any part of the armor, as the entire set is needed for a questline later.

• In the area southwest of the building, you can find a Ghost Glovewort [3] and a Ghost Glovewort [4]
• Follow the trail of fireflies along the cliff to a Smithing Stone [3] at the opposite end.
• Go through the archway in the courtyard and down some stairs to find a Golden Rune [7].
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [3] and Golden Rune [7] near the cliff edge, then grab a Larval Tear from the gazebo.
• Before taking on the boss, turn around to find a Rune Arc against the rocky ledge.

• Jump to the ledge northwest of the staircase and go around the building to reach a Celestial Dew.
• Return to the staircase and jump across the lower roof for a Golden Rune [7] on the other side.
• Cross the broken remains of a bridge and drop through a window opening. Grab the Black Whetblade next to an altar.
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Unlock the imp seal in the narrow passage near the altar, and loot the Mimic Tear Ashes and Smithing Stone [3] in the room.
• Jump through an open window in the passage, then continue through another opening to reach the Nox Flowing Hammer.

• Exit the building and grab the Night's Sacred Ground grace at the cliff.

• Head up the hill with the wolves to pick up Smithing Stone [4] and Beast Blood x4 from three corpses near a tall spire.
• Light the brazier behind the spire (3/6).
• Kill the scarab north-northeast of the spire for Ash of War: Enchanted Shot, then light the nearby brazier (4/6).
• Jump to the enclosed structure in the water below the cliff. Pick up a Ghost Glovewort [5] and Golden Rune [12] from the ground inside.
• Climb the wall of the structure to reach the second half. Loot the chest guarded by a shaman to obtain Ancestral Infant's Head.
• Return to Ancestral Woods and head north-northeast to a small ritual grounds. Pick up Old Fang x4 from a corpse next to the staircase.
• Grab the Ghost Glovewort [4] in front of the shaman, then kill her for a Shining Horned Headband (first time).
• Light the brazier behind the deer-like carcass (5/6).
• From the brazier, head east toward the Hallowhorn Grounds and pick up a Ghost Glovewort [4] from the edge.
• Next to a pillar down the stairs that lead to the Hallowhorn Grounds, you'll find a corpse with Hefty Beast Bone x5.
• East of the staircase lies a campsite with Kukri x8.
• From the campsite, follow the cliff edge to the final brazier and light it (6/6).
• Next to the spire west-southwest of the brazier is a Smithing Stone [5].
• Drop onto the undersection of the bridge near the brazier. At the southwest end is another Smithing Stone [5].
• Head toward the northeast end of the bridge's undersection, then descend the structure below to find a Smithing Stone [2], Celestial Dew, and Clarifying Horn Charm +1.
• Exit the room and continue along the bridge to grab a Smithing Stone [5] between the pillars at the end.
• 🏆 Touch the horned remains in the Hallowhorn Grounds and kill the Regal Ancestor Spirit for Remembrance of the Regal Ancestor and 24,000 runes.
• Return to the fifth brazier (at the small ritual grounds). Just north of it is a corpse with Hefty Beast Bone x3.
• East of the corpse, walk across the stone beams at the top of the Hallowhorn Grounds to reach the Mottled Necklace +1.
• Head toward the jellyfish north of the stone beams and pick up the Old Fang next to them.
• On a ledge below the cliff near the jellyfish, you'll find a Stonesword Key.
• Head down the ledge to grab Silver Tear Husk x2 and the Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs grace.
• At the end of the cliff, drop onto the aqueduct and kill the Crucible Knight to receive the Crucible Hornshield.
• Cross the west-southwest bridge to grab the Missionary's Cookbook [5].
• Take the other path toward the aqueduct channel. Enter the opposite room and kill the scarab down the stairs to obtain Order Healing.
• Loot the Golden Rune [7] on the outer ledge, then the Golden Rune [13] on the broken bridge.
• Kill the Crucible Tree Knight in the aqueduct channel for a Somber Smithing Stone [6], then grab the Smithing Stone [5] next to him.
• Pick up a Golden Rune [6] in front of the waterfall farther in, then the Smithing Stone [4] in the room below it.
• Enter the west room to pick up a Rune Arc.
• Talk to D, Beholder of Death and give him the Twinned Set to learn the Inner Order gesture; you can still get it even if you don't have the set.
• 🏆 Kill the Valiant Gargoyles for Gargoyle's Greatsword, Gargoyle's Twinblade, and 30,000 runes.
  • Optional: D, Beholder of Death's summon sign can be found at the top of the stairs if you gave him the Twinned Set.
• Activate the Great Waterfall Basin grace on dry ground near the waterfall.

Carian Study Hall0/0

• MISSABLE: Travel to the Artist's Shack in Liurnia and follow the southeast cliff edge until you see Alexander and select "Help him out". Craft an Oil Pot and throw it at him before striking his back. Talk to him afterward to receive Exalted Flesh x3.
• Descend the gravestones in the cliff near Alexander. Once you reach the lowest gravestone, jump to a roof to pick up Smithing Stone [3] x3.
• Drop down and grab the Jarburg grace next to a house.
• South of the grace lies a cemetery with Golden Rune [1], 2x Golden Rune [2], 2x Golden Rune [3], and a Golden Rune [6].
• Talk to Jar-Bairn on the porch of a house in Jarburg multiple times:
  • Note: Don't attack any of the Living Jars in the village; it will anger him and cause him to disappear.
  • Talk to him and answer that you'll be the new Potentate..
  • Reload the area and talk to him about picking flowers in the village.
  • Reload the area and exhaust his dialogue about Alexander (after meeting Alexander).
  • Reload the area and talk to him about poachers (after speaking to Diallos in Roundtable Hold the second time).
• Loot the 3x Cracked Pot, 2x Ritual Pot (one is on a rooftop), and Living Jar Shard in the village.
• Travel to the Grand Lift of Dectus and hoist your medallion in front of the lift. After arriving, grab the Altus Plateau grace on a rocky ledge just north of the lift.
• Optional: Talk to Melina at the Altus Plateau grace.
• Talk to Rya at the Grand Lift of Dectus and accept her invitation to Volcano Manor.
  • Note: If she's not there, you'll find her in the lower Lux Ruins instead.
• After arriving, grab the Volcano Manor grace for later. Ignore the manor for now to avoid canceling a step in Patches's questline.
• Exit the manor and pick up Smoldering Butterfly x6 from the left-side cliff edge.

• Grab the Map: Mt. Gelmir from the stele below.
• Activate the Road of Iniquity grace just past the map stele; you'll start from it later when exploring Mt. Gelmir.
• Travel to Roundtable Hold and talk to Corhyn to trigger him to leave.
• Optional: Talk to Roderika and select "There's something you should know".
• Optional: Talk to Dung Eater in a newly opened room in the north wing.
• Travel to the Altus Plateau grace, pass time until nightfall, and head east-southeast toward a camp. Pick up the Stonesword Key in front of a tent.
• On a rocky ledge east-northeast of the camp, you'll find a Golden Rune [4].
• Kill the Night's Cavalry patrolling the road for Ash of War: Shared Order and 10,000 runes.
• Look for a moving cloud of dust on the road and hit it to obtain Ash of War: Earthshaker.
• Grab the Altus Highway Junction grace on a ledge between the diverging paths.
• Requires Gold Sewing Needle & Radahn's Lion Armor: Talk to Boc at the grace and select "I'm sorry…". Give him the golden needle, then select "I have a favor to ask" and "You may call me lord" to learn the My Lord gesture.
• Optional: After giving Boc the needle and selecting "Surely she'd be happy for you?", talk to Melina at the Altus Highway Junction grace.
• Pick up the Golden Seed north of the grace.
• Optional: Follow the road uphill to find Corhyn next to a stele. Talk to him about the noble Goldmask.
• Grab the Map: Altus Plateau from the stele next to Corhyn.
• Continue along the road until you reach a bridge. Under a tent just southeast of it, you can find a corpse with a Lump of Flesh.
• On the bridge, you'll discover the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace and the Nomadic Merchant (Altus Plateau).
• Return to Altus Highway Junction and pick up Old Fang x3 from the stone platform just east-northeast of the grace.
• Go around the ledge east-northeast of the platform and up the left slope to find an Amber Starlight.
• MISSABLE: Give Seluvis the Amber Starlight, then talk to him to receive the Magic Scorpion Charm.
• Exhaust Ranni's dialogue to receive the Carian Inverted Statue.
  • Note: Completing this step will end Seluvis's questline. If you plan to give Seluvis's Potion to Dung Eater (which requires Seluvis to be alive), do it now or skip ahead to the West Altus section until you complete the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

  • Ascend the stairs and deal with Preceptor Miriam until she disappears.
  • Pick up the Carian Glintstone Staff from a shrine before the second lift.
  • Take the lift up and somehow kill Preceptor Miriam to obtain Magic Downpour.
  • Pick up a Golden Rune [4] from a corpse on the circular balcony.
  • Climb the ladder on the balcony and grab the Cerulean Seed Talisman from the top rafters.
• Requires Carian Inverted Statue: Return to the Study Hall Entrance and examine the pedestal to turn the building upside down:
  • Re-enter the study hall and kill Preceptor Miriam again to obtain Lucidity.
  • Pick up the Mask of Confidence from a ledge near the underside arch of a bridge.

  • Drop onto the lift in the middle and ride it to the bottom (er… top?), then go outside to discover the Liurnia Tower Bridge grace.
  • Kill the Godskin Noble on the bridge to obtain the Godskin Noble Set.
  • Enter the Divine Tower of Liurnia and ride the lift inside to grab the Divine Tower of Liurnia grace.
  • Loot the Cursemark of Death and Stargazer Heirloom from Ranni's corpse at the top.

Deeproot Depths0/0

• Travel to Great Waterfall Basin grace and rest in the coffin below the waterfall. Grab the Great Waterfall Crest grace after arriving.
• Kill the nearby Erdtree Avatar to obtain the Staff of the Avatar.
• Grab the Ghost Glovewort [4] in front of a slope behind the avatar, then kill the scarab at the top for Ash of War: Golden Land.
• Head toward the roots and climb onto the far-right one. Just above where it connects to the cliff, you'll find a Smithing Stone [6].
• Follow the middle branch of the far-right root to a cave in the cliffside. Kill the large-bellied ant inside to receive a Numen's Rune and a Rune Arc.
• Kill the four large-bellied ants below to receive 4x Numen's Rune and 4x Rune Arc.
• Grab the Somber Smithing Stone [6] in the cave, then pick up Elden Stars from a corpse on the outside ledge.
• Climb the branch of the root below, then pick up Holy Grease x3 at the bottom of the root.
• Follow the root to its base to find a Smithing Stone [4].
• From the base of the root, head south to find a Golden Rune [5] on a root extending past the cliff.

• Continue westward to discover the Deeproot Depths grace by the cliff.
• Follow the water to a Gargoyle. On the path in front of him lies a corpse with Dragonwound Grease.
• Pick up Hefty Beast Bone x5 from a corpse behind the Gargoyle, and grab the Map: Deeproot Depths in the gazebo.
• Southeast of the gazebo is a ruined building with a Rune Arc and Smithing Stone [6] x3, guarded by several Basilisks.
• Enter the tower north of the the building to pick up Ash of War: Vacuum Slice in front of a Gargoyle.
• When exiting the tower, turn right through a short passage to find a Ghost Glovewort [5] in a bush between two trees.
• To the right of the large root west of the bush, you'll find a scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone [6].
• From the large root, head north to find a Ghost Glovewort [5] on dry ground near a waterfall.
• Use the spiritspring near the waterfall to reach the Arteria Leaf x5 at the top of the building.
• Drop to the lower rooftop next to the corpse for a Smithing Stone [7].
• Return to the gazebo, then head west-southwest between two structures to find a Ghost Glovewort [5] in a bush.
• Climb the root northwest of the bush to pick up a Golden Rune [1] behind a Gargoyle.
• Jump to the first root on the left, then follow it to the top to find the Prince of Death's Staff on a tower.
• At the bottom of the same root, you'll find a Smithing Stone [6].
• Jump onto the tilted tower below the root and pick up a Smithing Stone [5] from behind its upper right corner.
• Grab The Nameless Eternal City grace just south-southwest of the tower.
• Loot the Human Bone Shard x5, 2x Smithing Stone [4], Clarifying Boluses, Golden Rune [9], 2x Golden Rune [8], Ghost Glovewort [5], and Nascent Butterfly west of the grace.
• Drop down the northwest cliff to find a Ghost Glovewort [6] at the cliff edge below.
• Pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [7] in the back of the nearby building.
• Use the spiritspring next to the building while facing east to reach the Stonesword Key on top.
• Use the spiritspring while facing northwest, and kill Crucible Knight Siluria for Siluria's Tree and 25,000 runes.
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [7] next to the massive tree stump, and open the chest inside it for the Crucible Tree Set.
• Head down the slope and pick up a Ghost Glovewort [6] and Golden Rune [8] in front of the two large roots.
• Follow the root on the right all the way to a Wandering Mausoleum. Jump onto it from the closest branch and destroy the skull formations around it until it collapses.
• North of the mausoleum is a tilted building with a Somber Smithing Stone [6] inside.
• Next to a trunk on the cliff behind the building, you'll find the Mausoleum Soldier Ashes.
• Follow the cliff edge southwest to find a Smithing Stone [5] in front of a rock.
• Continue southwest and pick up a Golden Rune [8] at the end of a root stretching out into the depths.
• Return to the two large roots and kill the scarab on the left root for a Somber Smithing Stone [6].
• The root on the right stretches into several branches. Follow the left branch first for a Golden Rune [8] past four Basilisks.
• From the branch with the item, drop down toward south to find a Somber Smithing Stone [7] on a ledge below.
• Return to the two roots and follow the middle branch to another Golden Rune [8].
• Head back and follow the uppermost right branch to the roof of a building, where you can find a Smithing Stone [6].
• Grab the Somber Smithing Stone [7] inside the building, then head east toward a waterfall with Lightning Greatbolt x6 close by.
• Go up the slope near the waterfall and loot the Somber Smithing Stone [7], Golden Rune [8], and Fan Daggers x4 from the Runebear's den.
• Travel to The Nameless Eternal City and head up the east-southeast root from earlier. This time, follow the same root to a Golden Rune [5].
• Jump onto the thin root that stretches around the nearby tower to find Nascent Butterfly x3 on the top ledge of the tower.
• Drop down the top end of the root to grab the Across the Roots grace.
• Follow the root near the grace back around to loot a Golden Rune [8] from the corpse at the end.
• Jump to a lower branch southeast of the corpse to reach an area with a Ghost Glovewort [7] near some ants.
• Descend the hole in the area to find a Somber Smithing Stone [7] on a ledge.
• Kill the Runebear at the bottom to obtain the Prince of Death's Cyst.
• When exiting the cave, turn right to find a Ghost Glovewort [5].
• Return to Across the Roots and kill Fia's Champions for Fia's Mist and 40,000 runes.
• Activate the Prince of Death's Throne grace after the fight.
• MISSABLE: Speak to Fia and answer that you want to be held. Talk to her in secret twice, then give her the Cursemark of Death to receive the Radiant Baldachin's Blessing (no need to get rid of this one).
• 🏆 MISSABLE: Talk to Fia in secret and reload the area. Talk to her again and reload the area a second time. Interact with her afterward to enter the Deathbed Dream, then kill Lichdragon Fortissax for Remembrance of the Lichdragon and 90,000 runes.
• MISSABLE: Loot the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince from Fia's corpse, then reload the area to pick up Fia's Set.

• Use the sending gate at the top of the tower to reach Ainsel River Main. After arriving, pick up Miniature Ranni from one of the coffins.
• Rest at the Ainsel River Main grace, and talk to the miniature Ranni three times to get a response from her.
• Kill the Withered Astel launching rocks at you to receive a Somber Smithing Stone [7].
• Pick up the 2x Ghost Glovewort [6] in the water northeast of the Withered Astel.
• East-northeast of the gloveworts, you'll find a Golden Rune [7] and Human Bone Shard x3 around a staircase.
• Next to an unlit brazier south-southwest of the staircase is a Smithing Stone [4].
• Grab the Stonesword Key next to a Miranda Blossom in the water, then pick up the Ghost Glovewort [6] and Clayman Ashes next to the waterfall.
• Northwest of the waterfall, leaning against a ruined wall, you'll find a Golden Rune [7].
• From the wall, turn southwest to pick up a Ghost Glovewort [6] and a Ghost Glovewort [7].
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [7] from a corner of the ruined structure.
• Follow the water downstream to a corpse with Stimulating Boluses.
• Pick up the Golden Rune [10] x8 and Shield Grease x2 in the room downstream.
• Follow the southwest path past a shield-headed ant until you reach a chest with the Wing of Astel on top of a structure.
• Go up the slope near the structure to pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [6] hanging from the edge.
• Return to the ant room and follow the river to a Ghost Glovewort [6] in the water.
• Go through the doorway and drop down to discover the Nokstella, Eternal City grace.
• Optional: Talk to Ranni while resting at the Nokstella, Eternal City grace.
• Beside the wall behind the grace sits a corpse with Magic Grease x3.
• Enter the room on the left up the first set of stairs to find a chest with the Ant's Skull Plate.
• Pick up Fan Daggers from a corpse on the stair railing.
• At the top of the stairs, enter the south building for a chest with the Ghost-Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [2].
• Behind the building you'll find a corpse with the Archer Ashes.
• Return to the stairs and pick up a Golden Rune [10] from the arcade.
• Go through the opening in the arcade to discover a chest with a Somber Smithing Stone [7].
• At the end of the arcade is another Golden Rune [10].
• Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Enter the building up the stairs and loot the Nightmaiden & Swordstress Puppets from a chest guarded by two Nox Monks.
• Kill the boulder on the bridge for a Larval Tear (first time), then grab the Golden Rune [10] at the end.
• Enter the building near the bridge. Kill the boulder in the ceiling for a Larval Tear (first time), then loot the chest for a Great Ghost Glovewort.
• Pick up a Golden Rune [10] from the railing on the stairs past the bridge.
• In front of the right building up the stairs, you can find a Smithing Stone [6].
• Enter the left building, kill the boulder in the ceiling for a Larval Tear (first time), then loot the chest for a Somber Smithing Stone [7].
• Kill the scarab in front of the last staircase for a Somber Smithing Stone [6].
• Ascend the stairs and loot the Moon of Nokstella from a chest in the top building.
• Head through the south doorway in the building to reach a lift and ride it down to a Golden Seed.
• From the golden tree, drop down toward north-northeast to find a Stonesword Key on the cliff edge.
• Head southeast toward a ledge and pick up the 2x Ghost Glovewort [8] in the water, guarded by a several electrified Silver Tears.
• Beside a rock in the water, near the gloveworts, is a Golden Rune [10].
• Make a sharp turn around the bottom of a bridge for a Smithing Stone [6] in a corner of an arcade.
• In front of a closed door, past the opposite end of the arcade, you'll find a Celestial Dew.
• Follow the cliff around the corner north until you reach a corpse with Silver Tear Husk x3.
• Head toward the ruined buildings near the cliff to find a Smithing Stone [6] and Drawstring Holy Grease x2.
• Pick up a Ghost Glovewort [7] near the waterfalls at the end.
• Follow the river downstream until you see a Ghost Glovewort [7] on the riverbank.
• Ascend the stairs on the left riverbank to reach a chest with a Ghost Glovewort [9].
• Continue downstream to pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [7] on the cliff edge behind a structure on the left.
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [8] in the riverbed, then grab the Celestial Dew beneath the structure where the river drops into a waterfall.
• Use the lift in the building east of the structure to reach the Nokstella Waterfall Basin grace.
• Optional: Talk to Ranni while resting at the Nokstella Waterfall Basin grace.
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [9] just northeast of the grace.
• Proceed through the short tunnel in the water to find a Smithing Stone [4] and Smithing Stone [5].
• Kill the Baleful Shadow past the tunnel to receive the Discarded Palace Key.
• Use the lift at the end of the corridor and activate the Lake of Rot Shoreside grace.
• Travel to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library and unlock the chest near the grace to obtain the Dark Moon Ring.

Lake of Rot0/0

• Optional: Equip armor with high Immunity, the Spiralhorn Shield or Ant's Skull Plate, the Immunizing Horn Charm and Mottled Necklace +1, and Flame, Cleanse Me or craft some Preserving Boluses.
• From the Lake of Rot Shoreside grace, drop down toward east to pick up Aeonian Butterfly next to a rotted tree.
• Quickly continue north for a Somber Smithing Stone [8] on top of some mushrooms.
• Head southeast toward some ruins and pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [7] beside a wall.
• Continue south toward a ruin sticking out of the rot. Pick up the Golden Rune [9] hanging from the top of it.
• Kill the Ancestral Follower in the rot west-northwest of the ruin for the Immunizing Horn Charm +1, then immediately return to the ruin.
• Head toward the platform with a pillar south-southeast of the ruin. Step on the pressure plate to raise platforms around the boss, then kill the Dragonkin Soldier in the rot for Dragonscale Blade and 58,000 runes.
• Loot the Golden Rune [7], Golden Rune [10], and Lightningproof Dried Liver around the raised platforms.
• Head toward the building southeast of the platforms. To the left of it is a structure protruding from the rot, with a Somber Smithing Stone [8] on top.
• Climb the southwest structure to reach the top of a building. Pick up the Mushroom Crown on a pillar inside.
• Return to the Lake of Rot Shoreside and pick up the Map: Lake of Rot down the slope.
• Step on the pressure plate southwest of the map, then pick up Rot Grease from the corpse next to the raised platform.
• Head toward the mushrooms in the rot west of the corpse to pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [7].
• From the mushrooms, head southeast toward a corpse in the rot with Black-Key Bolt x10, then step on the pressure plate farther south-southeast.
• Use the raised platforms to reach a corpse in the rot with a Warming Stone.
• Step on the pressure plate south of the corpse, then continue south-southwest to reach the final pressure plate.
• When stepping on the final plate, the platform will elevate. Kill the Alabaster Lord at the top of the structure for Alabaster Lord's Sword.
• Pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [9] from the top east corner of the structure.
• Descend the ladder at the opposite end of the structure, and kill the scarab at the bottom of the slope for a Somber Smithing Stone [6].
• Return to the ladder, then drop onto the ledge to the right of it. Go around the ledge and pick up the Preserving Boluses behind a large brazier.
• In the building northwest of the braziers, you'll find a chest with the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [22].
• Return to the braziers and go down the stairs to discover the Grand Cloister grace.
• Continue past the grace and pick up a Golden Rune [10] from the top ledge.
• Make your way down the gaps in the ledges to reach the bottom, then pick up the Golden Rune [10] in front of a large brazier.
• Bait out the Putrid Tree Spirit near the rot waterfall and kill it to receive a Golden Seed.
• Grab the Smithing Stone [6] and Smithing Stone [7] in front of the rot waterfall.
• Pick up the Ghost Glovewort [9], Fan Daggers x8, and Smithing Stone [5] near the group of enemies at the opposite side of the cloister.
• Ascend the stairs and loot the Scorpion's Stinger from the chest at the end.
• 🏆 Rest in the coffin at the end of the rot stream, then kill Astel, Naturalborn of the Void for Remembrance of the Naturalborn and 80,000 runes.
• Grab the Astel, Naturalborn of the Void grace, then use the lift north-northeast of the grace.
• A few steps from the lift, you'll discover the Moonlight Altar grace.

Moonlight Altar0/0

• From the Moonlight Altar grace, head east until you reach the first half of Lunar Estate Ruins:
  • In the first part of the ruins is a corpse with Glintstone Firefly x5.
  • Optional: Kill the Revenant spawning in the middle for a Ghost Glovewort [2] (first time).
  • Pick up a Golden Rune [10] from the corpse near the Revenant.
  • Requires 1 Stonesword Key: Head down the hidden cellar next to an imp seal to grab the Cerulean Amber Medallion +2.
  • From the cellar, head east toward the other half of the ruins. Optionally, kill the Revenant on the left side of the ruins for a Ghost Glovewort [2] (first time).
  • Roll through the hidden cellar on the far-left side of the ruins. Loot the chest inside for Smithing Stone [8] x3.
• From the second cellar, follow the slope north to a cathedral. Grab the Cathedral of Manus Celes grace inside.
• Pick up the 11x Starlight Shards around the cathedral (including the one near the astrolabe).
• Kill Glintstone Dragon Adula outside the cathedral for Dragon Heart x3, Adula's Moonblade, and 120,000 runes.
• Just west of the cathedral lies Moonfolk Ruins:
  • Loot the Rune Arc and Golden Rune [9] in the lower part of the ruins.
  • In a hidden cellar in the upper northeast part of the ruins is a chest with a Somber Smithing Stone [8].
  • Pick up Magic Grease from a corpse in the upper southwest part of the ruins.
• Head down the slope southwest of the ruins and pick up Gravel Stone x5 from the corpse behind a sleeping dragon.
• Kill the three dragons in the area for 3x Dragon Heart.
• Follow the path near the sleeping dragon to a small wood. Kill Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader in the evergaol past the woods for Black Knife Tiche and 80,000 runes.
• Return to the path and follow it downhill to an area with three gazebos. Loot the 2x Smithing Stone [7] x3 and Smithing Stone [8] x3 from the gazebos.
• Continue down the slope and grab the Altar South grace in front of the tower at the bottom.
• Examine the book in front of Chelona's Rise to activate the great wise beasts:
  • Note: The puzzle resets upon reloading, so you'll need to ride to each location.
  • #1: The first beast can be found below the cliff west of the tower. [Location 1]
  • #2: On a high-up ledge below the upper cliff far to the east-northeast of the tower. [Location 2]
  • #3: Use the spiritspring in the small woods near the evergaol to hit the wise beast floating in the air. [Location 3]
• Return to Chelona's Rise and loot Ranni's Dark Moon from the chest at the top.
• Drop down the hole in Cathedral of Manus Celes and place the ring on Ranni's finger. Talk to her afterward to receive the Dark Moon Greatsword.
• Optional: Talk to the miniature Ranni while resting at the Ranni's Chamber grace.
• Kill the hostile Blaidd outside Ranni's Rise to obtain the Royal Greatsword and Blaidd's Set.
• Inform Iji of Blaidd's death, then reload the area to find Iji's Bell Bearing and Iji's Mirrorhelm on his anvil.
